  3. I have no clotting issues at all, am active, and have had three prior surgeries with no issue. I object because not many surgeons seem to do this, and all the literature I've pulled up have cautioned against an IVC filter because they can become dislodged.

  5. I submitted my stuff to Tricare on Monday and today I find out I have been approved!! *does a happy dance* So now I have to go in for some more pre-surgery appointments and tests. The only thing is that my surgeon puts in an IVC filter as standard procedure, and I don't want it. The nurse acted really funny when I suggested that I'd be willing to do an alternative blood clot treatment, and said the surgeon may not do my surgery at all. Crazy! And disappointing. Anyone switch surgeons after going through all the testing and approval? I won't have to redo all that, will I?
  6. My surgeon only uses the realize band. Hopefully it's as good as the lap band
  7. Im a little concerned about this because my husband is military and we move frequently.... how will I get adjustments to my band when I'm no longer in this state??? I never really thought that I've you get the band you have to stay with the same surgeon for the rest of your life... this really doesn't make much sense to me...
  8. Yep... I just live with it. I have bathroom issues ever since getting my gallbladder out so I just summed it up to be more of the same. I certainly hope I am absorbing some of the protein I take in before I rub to the bathroom tho....
  9. I haven't gotten my date yet but I have a feeling I will be a March bandster too! I will let you know
  10. Wow! You look gorgeous! Keep up the amazing work!! I can't wait to see your next pics :-)
  11. As long as it went back down, I wouldn't worry about it either. Even when I was pregnant, on mirena not getting my period, breastfeeding not getting my period.. I still had temporary weight gain, moodiness, and even cramps one a month. It was weird but not much I could do about it. Maybe try drinking water and working out during that week... the more you drink the less you retain.
