  1. I CANNOT LOSE THIS WEIGHT!!! I'm driving myself crazy over this! I'm at 214 and need to be at 213! Sound simple enough, but I can't get it off! I've fasted.. I've liquid dieted... I've spent hours upon hours of cardio at the gym...I'm drinking Water like never before... I've even resorted to water pills and laxatives... No help at all... I just don't get it... I'm SO FRUSTRATED!!! kimi

  3. I did EKG before my psych eval. I went to do my lab work and them went to the cardiology dept and had my EKG done. The EKG process was super fast, I was in and out within 10 minutes. kimi
  4. I think it depends in your policy guidelines. I know mine specifically has a $ for in patient surgery. kimi
  5. Ha! A whole pound!?! That is crazy. Wow! Well, I will call and see if they can tell me where to go to weigh... Maybe there will be somewhere open over the weekend so I can go first thing in the morning! kimi
  6. I dot know of any places in the weekend that are open in Modesto Kaiser. I think I will just wait until Tuesday and go at lunch time... Maybe I'll drop lower in the 213 mark... kimi
  7. Okay friends.... I'm down to my surgery goal weight!!!! Barely into the 213 mark, but never the less... Here's my issue though. Today is the Friday before a "holiday" and I have to work my full 8 hrs at work(otherwise I won't get my holiday pay for Monday). So be I'm on the border of 213 and 214 I'm assuming ill be in the 214 by lunch time. So that kicks out the idea of going to Kaiser to weigh at lunchtime.... Since the clinics and health services dept are closed on the weekends... Do you think I might be able to go to the hospital side and have them weigh me for the records???? I need some feed back on this one. I mean, I could just wait until Tuesday I guess... It's not like anyone in the Surgery office is going to be there over the weekend. Ha! Guess I'm just excited to finally be over my stall!!! kimi
  8. That is a good idea. kimi
  9. LoooooL! That is too funny that you asked that! I downed a bottle of magnesium citrate an took two dulcolax on my way home from work this evening. All I need to do is get the two lbs off, go weigh in at Kaiser to get it on record... And hold that weight until the day of my surgery... I figure if I can get down my two lbs, I can hold it. I think they said my surgeon is booked out a month to a month and a half at this point. kimi
  10. I was 233 when I got my referral (my highest weight... Ever). I was down to 222 at the time of my orientation and 217 during my surgeon consult (all within a month or so). I worked my butt off (literally) to try to drop it all ASAP! Ha! My surgeon told me that she wanted me to get down to 213 for my surgery goal weight. I have 2 lbs to go, and I'm at a stand still. My body is holding onto these last two lbs for dear life! LOL! So to answer your question I believe it was 10% of my highest weight. kimi
  11. I'm going through Fremont, and my premixed has been rather smooth sailing. I kimi

  14. Oooops hit the send button too quickly! Ha! As I was saying, I was thinking about this subject while I was at the gym today. I wanna learn to snow board! I wanna run a marathon... And I wanna put on a private burlesque dance for my husband once a month!!! Ha! Ohhhh man!!! kimi

  16. On a side note, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, so I COMPLETELY understand the flair ups and the lack of energy... Completely. kimi
  17. I haven't had surgery yet (actually, just finished wrapping up all of the criteria). I am going through Kaiser and I have met with my nutritionist and psychologist, both have made it very clear that this surgery takes not only a physical toll, but also an emotional toll. I have been told several times that if I feel that I have any emotional ties to food, that I really need to deal with these issues prior to surgery because while my stomach will be smaller, my emotional cravings won't be. My "drug of choice" has always been fast food. It has been there for me during the good and the bad time... It has been the angel and the devil in the past 12 years of my life. Prior to starting my journey into requesting the referral to see a bariatrics surgeon, I started working on the emotional/mental side of this journey. I can now say that I have made some major changes in my life, both in my diet and in my mental way of looking at food. Not to say that I'm not going to have some freak out moments post sleeve, but I'm hoping that dealing with my "relationship" (to food) issues prior to surgery will help. Having this forum helps soooo much! Thy is for sure. Good luck on your endeavor!!! kimi
  18. That is awesome!!!! Good for you! Hard work pays off!!! kimi
