  1. I'm on my 7th day post op and I'm feeling so so much better! Pain is gone..still a little bloated but it gets better everyday. It's surprising how much energy you have when your not eating junk food that's not to say that I don't feel like just giving in and trying something small but I stick it out. Doctor said 2 weeks liquid and 2 weeks liquid or shall be I've lost about 8kg which is about 17lb and its been 2 weeks ( 1 week pre op diet and 1 post op) I'm definitely feeling optimistic about my decision to get the band and a renewed boost in my can do attitude. I hope all you guys out there are doing great and feeling as optimistic as I am
  2. I'm 6 days post op, very minimal pain but decided to go shopping with my mum. Four hours later and I'm exhausted...off for a nap
  3. That's excellent to hear B-52. Was wondering if you still have diabetes but its controlled or are you no longer diabetic?
  4. I'm 5 days post op and because of the size of the tablet and the low calorie diet the surgeon advised me to hold off on taking my meds and to see my doctor. Well I've been monitoring my blood sugar and nothing higher than 5.1mmol so looks like until further notice I'm off my diabetes meds and on the road to possibly reversing it! Anyone else with diabetes type 2 having the same result?
  5. Thank you all for your replies...it's good to be able to talk to people who have gone through or are going through the same thing. Thx again
  6. I'm 4 days post op and I was changing my dressings so I thought I'd feel around see if I could feel the port. I can't is this normal or have I already done something to the port?
  7. I was banded 2 days ago, so hopefully like you the bloating will dissipate after 4-5 days. Congratulations on your weight loss, here's hoping I follow suit
  8. I got banded on the 10/1/13 and I'm extremely bloated. I know that they fill you with gas during the surgery so I was just wondering how long it takes for the bloating to go down?
  9. I had my surgery 2 days ago and am going through the exact same thing. Was a bit worried but after reading this thread I'm feeling more confident. Thx
