  1. Lately where my port is connected to my skin has become extremely itchy. I have been banded since august 2012, and have never experienced any itching until the last week or so which is about 4 weeks after i had my first fill. Also my port seems to be sticking out more than usual. I was wondering if any of you have experienced this or if it is even a cause for concern. I have an appointment for another fill in mid march so Im debating about waiting till then to talk to my Dr. or if I should call. It doesnt seem like Im having a severe allergic reaction because thats the only symptom I have. Just checkin if this is normal or not with you guys. :-)
  2. I haven't had any problems with my meds but my dr. Says once my band is fuller I could have more of a problem. He switched my antidepressant to liquid. And suggests liquid tylenol for headache. My pill I have to take at night he has me cut into 4 small pieces because by then I have food in the pouch. Talk to your dr he may have more insight
  3. I don't actually eat steak subs all the time. I'm actually on a diet outlines by my nutritionist. But if I wanted to I could. I'm still so hungry all the time and I feel like less than half a CC each time doesn't do much. No I don't have fluoro fills and when I get filled it's actually painful. My dr. Doesn't use numbing cream and when I asked he said he doesn't so that. He said I was in pain probably do to the fact it was sore from working out. I just feel like my experience is so different from others in my support group
  4. I was banded on 8/13/12 and my doctor will only fill me .25 at a time. And also getting another appointment takes months. I am only at .5 I have expressed I would like a larger fill but he talks of going easy. I have never had any complications and can still eat a steak and cheese sub! Anyone I know in the community has gotten larger fills. Especially for the first one. I am just wondering if anyone else has experience with this. I got the surgery for a reason and would like to actually feel some restriction. But whatever I'm saying to my Dr. Doesn't seem to be working. Help!
  5. I was banded 8/13/12 and have never vomitted or even had the urge to. I have had a few moments with bread where I have the "stuck" feeling but I wait and it passes. You just need to chew well.
