I was told not to stock up on vitamins b/c we'll be needing bariatric vitamins that are designed four the malsorption aspect of our new pouches. Maybe it's something you'd like to ask your physician about?

my surgeon send them home with you too

My doc suggested pureeing my foods now and pouring it into ice trays to freeze... pop it out put it in a freezer bag and u have little one ounce servings. When u r ready to eat it put a cube in the microwave and u r all set.

Does anyone have a little list of things you are checking off before surgery? Mine looks something like this: -Catch up on laundry -Grocery shopping -Deep clean the house -Pedicure -Spend some time with my family - Pack hospital bag What about you? Vets? Anything you wish you would have done before surgery?

Had my surgery class last night! It was very informative. I found out I'll be using a feeding tube (g-tube) the first four weeks to help me get in my fluids and protein. I'll have a Blake drain for the first two weeks and I have to drink one blue powerade every day and if I see the blue in the Blake drain then Houston, we have a problem. Anyone else heard of this? I've never seen any thing about a g-tube on here.
