  1. It's fine in Mexico. You don't have enough time to go looking for trouble, and the hospital and hotel and shuttle are all very safe. Bring one person for support if you want, but it's not necessary. Everyone having surgery is very nice and supportive too. You don't need a lot of extra cash. The check-list it's all you need. I wish I had remembered my swimsuit for the night before surgery. There was a pool and hot tub at my hotel. I had surgery 3 weeks ago, I had some pretty awful nausea, but I'm feeling much better now, and losing weight.
  2. I also almost fainted, about 6 days post-op. I just sat back down until it passed. A few minutes later, I was fine.

  4. I was banded a week ago today. I felt pretty awful, ill and weak. Every other day I felt better, then worse. Today I felt good all day. Energy is returning. I have lost 21 pounds since I started the pre-op diet. I have had 4 other truck drivers seriously question me a about getting it done at WeightLossAgents.c com. I told them all to get it done asap and to seriously consider the sleeve as well.
  5. The stay at the hospital was a few hours. Overnight at the hotel, xray in the morning, then back to the airport. I arrived in San Diego on Wednesday afternoon, got to Tijuana by noon Thursday, had the surgery that afternoon, returned to the airport by Friday at noon. Home in Texas by nine.
  6. 4250, plus 200 airfare 100 for the hotel. WeightLossAgents.com. I had it done last week.
  7. I got banded on Thursday. I felt pretty ill but feel a little better today, 2 says later. I get waves of cramps each time I move in bed or drink, but it is lessening I think. I'm planning on going out for a little while for a walk. I have a lot of gurgling in my bowels and the watery gas has lessened.
  8. I had the lap band by Dr Almanza last Thursday Jan 31, 2013. It was safe and sanitary but not ultra-modern. Be prepared to wait for the van, the border crossing can take some time and can be delayed. I recommend only taking one person for support although both of my sisters came and another patient had 3 generations of family. The other patients and family are supportive of each other. The Ticuan hotel is nice and comfortable but I wouldn't recommend going out alone or at night. There's really no reason to. The front desk has freezer pops for you and coupons for free broth. I was feeling pretty ill the first 2 days, with waves of cramps each time I moved or drank. It's lessened some today.
  9. I'm new too. Having it done in Tijuana because I have to self pay, but it's scheduled for the end of the month.
  10. I'm going to Dr.Almanzo at the end of January. I can let you know how it goes. I'm near Dallas. I'm so excited!
  11. My first post! I'm getting banded at the end of January. I'm in the DFW area and getting it done in Tijuana. Has anyone else gone with WeightLossAgents? I have to self pay.
