Hi Annie! I'm sorry it took so long to reply to you...I have been a little sick and was not on the site much. I hope this finds you well! How did your first doctor appointment go? Where are you going? I'm going to Dr. Karl Strom at Bayshore Hospital in Holmdel, NJ. Are you scared of the surgery? Is that what you mean? I'm a little nervous myself...but know I have to do something. My knees have blown out due to my weight, and my time for dieting my own way is done...I have to look at the surgery as a blessing...another chance to strart fresh. Please let me know how you made out...I will respond sooner. Thanks, God bless, and remember...we can do it! Kathleen

Hello...Just wanted to say hello to anyone who finds this...I am scheduled for the LapBand surgery on 4/12/13! I am a bit nervous but quite excited...I am ready for a new start, and a new me! I consider this a blessing. Eager to learn more and more as I await April, I am happy to have found this site. I wish you all a healthy and happy Band journey, wherever you may be. Hi - I am excited to find this...I am having the LapBand done by Dr. Strom on April 12 of 2013 - I'm excited to have the date set! My husband and I found him to be very nice at the seminar...I was very impressed he had it even though there were just three of us potential patients. He seems very kind, confident, and knowledgeable...I left there feeling very comfortable with him as my surgeon. On our first doctor visit, we met with Dr. Shakov...he is the assisting surgeon for Dr. Strom, I was told. He also was very kind and helpful...my husband and I are both happy. Note - lol, my husband just comes with me for support...I am the only one getting the surgery. I look forward to possibly talking more on the forums...and learning a lot more. One question, BarbCain...are you on a special diet yet? I'm thinking mine will start at my first nutritionist appointment in late January. Have a great day!
