Hi everone!
I think I'm going with gastric bypass. My husband even agrees with my decision. I don't like how the sleeve is permanent. So if something was to go wrong they couldn't reroute everything back. I have a pre-op visit with the surgeon and we will discuss everything. He actually wanted me to have gastric bypass from the start but I just knew the band was going to be for me but not anymore.

Lapband to gastric bypass
Oh ok. Well good luck with everything

Lapband to gastric bypass
Hi! May I ask why your going from band to bypass? I thought I wanted the band but I'm slowly changing my mind because of all the things I been reading about slipped bands, vomiting & stuck food feeling.

Hi everone!
My name is melynie and I'm new to this group. I'm 32 years old married with two daughters. My oldest is 13 and youngest is 2. I been struggling with my weight all my life. I've tried different diets and some worked while on diet pills but as soon as I stopped taking diet pills the weight came back with a little extra added. My highest weight have been 330 and that was being pregnant with my youngest daughter. I dropped 30 pounds some months after delivering. I had tons of fluid. I thought i wanted to have lap band but i dont think i can handle all of the vomiting, stuck food and slipped band everyone talks about. So im weighing my options right now. I'm still in my manditory 6 month weight management class. I graduate from class on feb 14th 2013. I've had my psych eval and my dietician appt. my insurance requires 2 dietician appts. So my last one is scheduled jan 23rd. I have a lot of support from all my fam and friends with which ever surgery I pick. Oh and I'm from Baltimore Maryland.

blenders etc
Omg I been trying to eat smaller portions and chew like 20 times before swallowing. My dietician told me to start now before surgery. Well I was struggling with that and since u said something about smaller utensils I'm guessing that's why lol. I was still using a regular size fork. I will start using my 2yr old forks now. Thank you so much

blenders etc
Thanks for the info. I haven't had my surgery yet and I don't have a date yet. I'm still in my manditory 6 month weight management class. I will be finished the class on feb 14, 2013. I completed everything else my insurance requires. So once my class is over surgery will be on the way. I just like to buy things ahead of time.

blenders etc

blenders etc
Well I'm trying to find something good to blend stuff with especially after surgery. So I'm looking and buying things ahead of time. I just wanted to know has anyone tried the nutribullet and does it work well?
