I'm home as well. Surgery on 12/21 at 1pm and by 7pm I was discharged. Port site also tender for me. No gas pains yet but I've had a heating pad on my neck and back since I've been home...I think that helped a lot. Just been sticking to ice water and no issues with that. Apple juice sounded good. Had one sip and it just tasted way too sweet. Congrats to everyone else and I hope you are all doing well.
Congrats mcday! My surgery got bumped from 11am to 1pm. Not sure if its because of the weather or if another emergency surgery bumped me off. So I don't need to be at there until 11am.
Newbie here. I'm going in this Friday at 11:30am. Need to be at the surgery center at 9:30am. On the last day of the 15 day fast. No solid food. Bariatric Advantage shakes only with fruit or nuts blended in. They were really tasty so that made it much easier. Clear liquids also allowed. Tomorrow it's clear liquids only and nothing after midnight. Lost 20.5 lbs so far. Feeling good and ready for surgery. The Kane Center in the Chicago burbs is awesome. My doc is Dr. Kane jr himself. So far a great experience with plenty of info. Just thought I would chime in here because I'm sure we all need the support up to and after being banded. Congrats to all who have gone so far and thanks for sharing your experiences!
