  4. I would make sure that your fills are going in correctly. I had that issue too at the beginning. I was suppose to have 8 cc in an 11cc band, and I felt no restriction at all. They kept telling me it takes time to settle and give it time. I finally got tired of that, and seen a different doctor. Come to find out there was only 2 cc in from the very first ever fill I had. It had turned and was almost flipped over, so the fills werent going in. I didnt know whether to be mad they didn't know that, or grateful that I knew I wasn't crazy and finally found out what was wrong!! Im already down almost 32 pounds. So, make sure !!!! Good Luck! Hope things get better for you!
  5. Wow you guys are amazing! I'm not usually one to share thoughts and feelings especially personal ones. I guess I didn't really realize the support that could come from people you dont know. Thank y'all so much for sharing your thoughts and opinions. I have to understand there is help out there if you just ask. I was never really good at that either. My "brain hunger" is still in full swing sometimes, but my distraction from it now is coming here and reading your replies and knowing im not completely crazy and alone about how I feel. Blessings to everyone on your journeys! Keep strong and Keep going!! <3

  10. "Change you way of thinking" well, that is easier said than done. How do you bandsters deal with the brain hunger, the just constantly wanting to eat even though you know you aren't hungry! There are times I feel like im have to eat something or im gonna go crazy, even though I know its going to hurt trying to go down. Sounds crazy right?? HELP!!

  12. Hi everyone ! New to this, but looks like there are alot of positive people here! My surgery was 9-12-12 and I'm still trying to get in the swing of it. I never realized how much of it was going to be mental. I have had 2 fills and am at 7cc, but I still feel no restriction! Im able to eat anything i want never had trouble with nausea, throwing up, or anything I have read about some of your experiences. honestly if i couldnt see the surgery spots on my stomach, I wouldnt even think i had a band. Which is discouraging and makes me want to eat more. Im hungry all the time, which i know is more my brain saying that then my stomach This can't be right is it?? I have read where some felt lots of restriction at 2-4cc, and already lost 20-25 lbs in first couple months So feeling a little confused and what do y'all mean by slider foods ?? Sorry for the pity party rant, just want to know going through this wasn't for nothing. Any words of wisdom or advice is welcomed
