  1. Thanks for your reply! I contacted my doctors office and the secretary informed me that they do not take care credit. Ugh. So I will search for my financing options.

  3. Hi I'm Berri. I'm glad that there are others in the saw situation as me. I have a little over 200 pounds to lose. I'm currently weighing 335 and I need all the support I can get. I'm happy that we can all be here for each other without being judged. It give me that much more hope that this will definitely help me be successful at my weight loss. I have my appointment tomorrow to set the date for my surgery and get my pre op diet. I'm super excited!! Other than the hiccup I had with my insurance which ultimately has led me to self pay I know this surgery will be successful.
  4. Thanks for your reply! I did contact united and I was told they do cover the bariatric surgery but starting in January target will no longer offer the PPO plan that I have now. Which means they will not be covering my surgery then. I have decided to do self pay. What financing company did you use for the self pay option? I have been researching a couple.
  5. Hi! I was curious about pregnancy after a lap band surgery a while back and I googled it. The dr will remove the saline fluid from the band that so that you can eat more during your pregnancy since you will be eating for two. I personally know a few women that have had both the lap band surgery and the gastric bypass surgery and they have gained back very little weight during pregnancy. After the pregnancy they put down the weight once again. Good luck!!!
  6. Has anyone had the opportunity to get an approval by united healthcare with Target? I just enrolled and I'm in the 6 month waiting process for surgery. But I am debating weather I should pay out of pocket. Can someone help?!
  7. Hello! Believe me you should not feel guilty at all. Instead you should feel proud that you have taken a step in changing the way you feel about yourself and changing your future, your life. Just think of the money being spent on an investment on yourself that is going to make you proud. Because of that investment it should motivate you that much more to have successful weightloss. I wish you the best!!!
