  1. You should check with your Dr but my nurse said to drink glucerna as it will level things out. I have not needed it so far.

  5. I had a choice as well but my Dr prefers the lap band so that is what I am going with.

  7. I am also on day 5 of liquid & am down 3 1/2 lbs & was thrilled. Congrats on being down 11 lbs, that is awesome!!!!!

  10. Wow I had no idea that Dr Curry has had the surgery himself. Wonder who he had do his, lol. It's so nice to talk with medical staff who knows exactly what you are going through.
  11. Today is day 4 for me and I think my hardest yet. I can smell everything. Even ketchup smells good to me. How long are you on the liquids?

  13. I am on day 3 as well. Stocked up on lots of easy to make stuff so hubby can cook for himself & my son. Frozen pizza, hot dogs, etc Hang in there. Do you have to do 3 weeks of pre op?
  14. The peanut butter I got is PB2 & I bought it at Kroger (grocery) in the health food area. It was on sale for $3.99. I mix it in with my chocolate shakes & it tastes like peanut butter cups.
  15. I am allowed 800 calories a day so I make meals out of mine

  20. ok so I just sampled my powdered protein from GNC, pretty good. I used the chocolate & added in some powdered peanut butter & yum.....for now anyway, lol.
  21. Enjoy that salad! I am allowed 1 cup of salad a day on my liquid as well as a few veggies.
  22. Nicole, you are getting some help I hope. Could not imagine recovery with 2 yr old twins. I have a 4yr old son & he likes to wrestle, I am so worried he is gonna jump on me after. We are all on our way now....nervous as can be here as well.
