Hello everyone - Well it's been just about 9 months since I was "sleeved". Actually I was a revision from lap band to sleeve. Weight loss has been slow - way slower than I'd imagined and some days I wonder why I couldn't lose the pounds without the surgery! But I'm glad I've lost what I have. I feel that I'd like to be around others that have gone through the procedure. Anyone care to meet up somewhere in SW Houston?

I'm in Sugar Land and would be very interested in joining or starting a group in the area.

I'm one week out and my weight loss has stopped. I feel blah and have no appetite. I do struggle to get in the Protein and liquids, I have to admit. When I breathe deeply, I feel pain in my left shoulder - actually I constantly have pain in my left shoulder. I thought the "gas" would be gone by now. I'm feeling a bit of pain in my left side back area as well. Thoughts?

My Lapband-to-Sleeve revision is scheduled for September 16 in Houston with Dr. Sheldon Yu of Texas Laparoscopic Consultants. I'm looking forward to getting back on track and losing the rest of my excess weight. Best wishes to everyone!

Hello - I started this group to meet others in and around Houston for friendship and support. We're going through the same sort of struggles. I'm having a lapband to sleeve revision on September 16 with Dr. Sherman Yu in Houston. My lapband has "issues" and needs to be removed, but I still have weight to lose. I'm not looking forward to the liquid diet, surgery and recovery, but I'm confident that I'll be thrilled with the results in the long run. Hi Everyone - I'm scheduled for lapband to sleeve revision on September 16 in Houston. My post-op appointment is August 21 and then I'll start the liquid diet on September 2. I'm curious to see how it goes. I've heard the revisions may not lose as much as first timers. I also need to figure out how to set up that tracker here!
