  3. How is Zumba going for you? Did you do Zumba before the band and did you notice any weight coming off faster with Zumba???

  5. Take your pain meds and rest (if you can). I know some people on here have been more comfortable on a recliner, but i didnt have any trouble sleeping in bed. As for the gas pain, my hubby rubbed my back and that helped get a lot of gas out. I also sat in a rocker and that seemed to help too!!! Hope you feel better soon!
  6. I had my surgery on Wed the 17th and was back at work Monday the 22nd. I wish I would have taken more time. I'm drained by 2pm everyday and it is a struggle. Everyone is different! Good luck!
  7. Dont worry Secondchance, it will only get better. My day 2 was not too great. I did manage to come back to work monday but now realize that I should have probably taken a few more days. My tummy is still sore on the port site but getting each day!! Hang in there!!!
  8. And what kinda of workout are you trying? I'm anxious to get back to Zumba!!!!
  9. @kato--I was banded on the 17th also and have the same restrictions as you except my dr. Said I could have skim milk after day 5. I'm looking forward to having sf pudding and adding skim milk to my protein shake! Today is the first day that I'm actually hungry but I think I'm going to be too scared to eat "real food" whenever the time comes.
  10. I'm four days out also. Feel much better today!! Went walking around yesterday and feel good (not great but good)! Good luck to you -it will only get better from here!
  11. Im in Corpus and was actually supposed to travel to Dallas this weekend but had to cancel my trip because i was in too much pain to sit in a car for 8 hours. I woke up this morning still sore but I'm starting to feel better as I walk around. Hopefully it will only get better from here. I cant wait to feel normal again too!!!! Good for you on making it til halftime!! It is challenging with the kids. My 4 year old says he misses laying down with me because i'm "soft"!! haha not for long

  13. It's wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 36 year old mother of two, living in Texas. Surgery was this past Wednesday. Still feeling pretty sore and am supposed to go back to work on Monday. Hope I can do it, I haven't even attempted driving yet. I also had a hiatal hernia that was repaired--anyone else have this or knows if this slows down the recovery time?? Glad I found this forum and look forward to reading more about our journey!
