  1. ElleG, how's the water and protein intake going? Any loses yet?
  2. I find I can't have my regular shakes and haven't had the time to find ones that agree with me. I will have to just make sure I get my fish and chicken in where possible. Only thing is I also cannot get my 5 to 6 meals a day. But I do my best to make sure I'm getting what my body needs. I hope that it's not too much of a bad thing.
  3. I'm out of country on business so not going to be able to weigh in for almost 2 weeks. Any guesses at how much I will lose?
  4. It's a good thing. I thought all the other things I was drinking was good enough, clearly not. Let me/us know if it helps in the next day or two. I am almost 100% sure it will.
  5. I won't lie, i was on a plateau for almost 2 weeks, my surgery buddy said that you need to make sure you getting enough protein and getting enough water in. and no kidding the next day i lost almost 2lbs, and it is continuing. give it a try, always eat your protein first, and make sure you getting enough water. drinking anything else but water, will most likely keep you on your Plateau. had constant losses for the past 3days.
  6. I am getting so tired of this Plateau!! I gym, try make sure I am not deviating from the diet. I just cannot break past 38lbs lost so far. I am getting frustrated. I know it will come, but got follow up with Dietician and Surgeon tomorrow and was really hoping for a lower weight to show on the scale.
  7. OMG!! That is amazing. I'm almost 40lbs down and had my surgery on the 11th march
  8. Try having more veg and less fatty food if you are having any. Made sure I had my Iron supplement and veggies yesterday and today my poop looked normal in color. I will keep monitoring it. The scale also moved down a pound. Now 35lbs down since surgery.
  9. Well I am glad hat I'm not the only one, I am gonna do my best to eat more veg, and take my Iron daily, and will see if it changes. I may just take one for the team and see my doc next week. ***Sand Storm*** LoL
  10. Thanks for the suggestion. I forgot to take my iron pills this weekend, so that could be it.
  11. Hi all, sorry for the nasty question, but I feel I need to know if I should contact the doc or not. I seem to be having pale or clay colored poops lately and doing some research it seems that this can be caused by not enough Bile in the digestive tract. Could also be Gallstones, or medications. Anyone else have this problem? Should I contact my Surgeon? Or should I just wait a day or two?
  12. Well I'm almost 4 weeks post op, and I'm having about 3 times what you are on my Puréd food side. And I'm managing just fine. Weightloss is coming off slowly, but I guess slow is better than super fast. I'm hoping not to have to much loose skin. I increase my intake this coming Tuesday. I'm mainly happy about that cause I can have more protein. And don't have to Puré everything. I have lost 29lbs so far. Still have a long way to go (117lbs), but I'm glad it's coming off. When I lose my next 8lbs I would finally weigh what I did 13years ago. That is crazy right?
  13. Plateau's are so demoralizing!!!
  14. Happy Easter to All!! I know for us March Madness peeps there will be no indulgences. But I am more than happy to give it all a miss, as I am so happy with my constant weight loss. I have had zero dumping and want to keep that going. Saw all my friends yesterday, and so glad that no one said anything about my surgery. But it was relatively easy not to have that beer or snacks that everyone else was having. All the best to those April surgeries. Let the losing begin. Cannot wait to follow everyone's progress and compare notes/results next March (2014) and to share our experiences with all the new March surgeries. Have a wonderfully blessed day.
  15. Yay, finally found the March post op group. How is everyone doing? I am so happy the weight is falling off, at just over half a pound a day, which is not that fast but it is amazing and so easy. And think I'll be happy with this speed. I am trying to keep active and eat properly, and all that. And it's been amazing. Today is the first day I see my friends after my surgery. FYI I have only told 2 of them. So I am assuming that a lot of them do know, just have not said anything. So we will see what happens in the afternoon. This operation has been worth every ounce of weight I have lost. And would highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about losing weight, and has battled for years.
  16. Day one, I had more discomfort than pain. I can't even remember having any pain and I'm almost 3weeks out I stopped taking pain meds after day one cause I didn't need it. And wanted to get my body off anything I didn't need. So guess I may have been the lucky one. Discomfort from Gas sucked.
  17. Best wishes. I know you'll be just fine. Can't wait to hear your feedback
