  1. Thanks for the replies. The gas is for sure the worst part for me. Im really praying it goes away soon.
  2. Yes i do and i take that too but even the nurses tolde that the pain meds wont help with the gas pain, only incision pain. Ugh...this gas pain in my shoulders and neck is absolutely horrible!!
  3. Hi everyone-I got banded this morning and the surgery itself went good but I'm in soooo much pain NOt so much my incisions, although they are a little sore but its the gas thats killing me. It hurts to take deep breaths and it feels like my collarbone is broken, Thats where it hurts the most. I have tried Gas-X, I have tried heating pads, I have walked and nothing. The only thing that seems to relieve it a little is when I put pressure on my chest. Please tell me this pain will go away soon. I have had it since I woke up from surgery and I just want to cry Thanks Angela
  4. Thanks everyone! I have read so much information the past few weeks so hopefully I will remember everything when tomorrow comes. I dont like anesthesia so I'm not looking forward to that part.
  5. Im having surgery tomorrow at 8:00 am and I'm so nervous Hoping everything goes smoothly and I dont have too much pain.
  6. Hi everyone, my name is Angela and I am being banded on Thursday Nov 8. I have been reading, reading, and reading some more on this forum for weeks trying to soak up all of the info that I can. Im so nervous but excited at the same time. I have had 2 c-sections so I know a little about the pain part of it. Im a little worried about the gas though as I get gas pains already normally without surgery..lol. Anyway...my question is, how does everyone get their Protein in while on the clear liquid phase? I know I wont be very hungry because I will be swollen but I cant imagine not getting weak or lightheaded if just drinking Water or Clear liquids for a few days. I'm anxious to get this part over with for sure! Angela
