Amy I think I had that nurse. She was very rude and barking orders at me o. How to put my clothes on. I was drunk sorry I didn't realize that my neck hole was not my arm hole. She had a accent and was hard to understand

Good Luck Everyone on your surgery tomorrow. I will be thinking about you! I'm on my post op day 3 and other than gas pains it has not been that bad. I do have to admit today has been the worst day so far for me.

you sure you can have oatmeal 4 days post op ? im still drinking chicken broth.

Do you know if the suture the actual band in place

Is anyone else having trouble swallowing after surgery? Is it the gas that is making it hard to swallow ?

Welcome to the December Bandsters! We will be here for you every step of the way. This forum has been wonderful. I actually met some people on here and we had surgery the same day in the same surgery center.

WOW did'nt know that Anna. Good advice! My doctor would'nt do the surgey unless you lost 7- 10 pounds on your pre op diet.

FOR THE LAST TIME IM NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT MY BAND .. I JUST GOT IT ON FRIDAY .. AS IN 12/14/2012. IM NOT CHEATING OR EATING JUNK FOOD BECAUSE IM DRINKING JUICE.!! JESUS!! BEFORE YOU JUMP DONE PEOPLES THROAT MAYBE YOU SHOULD READ THE BEGINNING OF THE POST!

If it makes you feel better I cheated too. I had beer and pizza ( just once ) on my pre op diet and I still had the surgery. Good Luck! You can do it !

Me too. I had Dr Hollis and the post op care was horrible. Anyway how are you feeling

Think of it this way. All the weight you lose on the pre op diet is weight you will never see again.. it is weight you don't need to lose one you get you band. I ate everything in site before my band thinking I would never eat again. In return I gained 7 lbs an now after being banded I'm back to my pre op weight. I could be way ahead of the game

Lyon I think you read my post wring. First I'm not the one complaining about my band. Second I was pointing out that there was other post just like this current one. Third my mother did raise me right and I don't appreciate the way you think you can talk to me like that

Seems like everyone that I talked to had similiar experiences. My surgeon was super nice and the pre op nurse was awesome. Also the OR nurses we great too for what I can remember, so it wasnt all that bad.

I had no idea I was going g to be rushed out less than an hour after i open my eyes. The nurse gave me 50 mg of Demerol because I had the shakes after surgery within 10 minutes I was walking to the area to get an X-ray I couldn't hold myself up I was so wobbly and in pain. No support from the staff. Sit me in chair and told me I need to go pee. I felt like they were trying to get rid of me ask they could go home

I had my surgery Friday and I think I'm over doing myself too. JM not leaving the bed today unless for short walks and bathroom breaks

Awesome. Play those numbers for lotto also.

I couldn't pee so instead of giving time they just straight cath me! So uncomfortable. Plus the left the bed down afterwards and I had to yell help to my husband BC no one was around. I was not impressed with my poat op care there at all
