  2. Hi, I have PCOS too. It's really a pain in the a**! I want to get the band to lose weight but honestly, I want to stop having PCOS. I dont have the sugar problem but hair problem, depression, anxiety...i hate it! For all you that got the band, did it help the symptoms?
  3. I will only have the surgery next year but doing a lot of research now. I don't want to tell people other than my immediate family and some close friends. But what happens when you have family gatherings? What do you do if they don't know about you WLS? I was thinking about that yesterday because part of my family got together for a brunch. There was tons of food (as usual). They will notice me not eating as much as usual. What do you say?

  8. Wow I'm pre-op...pre first consultation and I needed to read something like that. I still doubt my decisions from time to time. Thanks !

  10. Congrats on your surgery. Thanks for your answer. I know a lot depends on genes. I guess I'll have to wait and see. I have about 140lbs to loose so maybe i won't have that much loose skin. It's sure is a question of health for me and to have a better life by being more active and having better eating habits. It's a BIG step. A big change in my life but I think I have to do it. I owe it to myself to give me all the good tools to have a better life.
  11. I didn't even have my first consultation yet but if I can help you, let me know

  13. Hi, I'm new on this board. Been reading you for a few days now. I'm on a waiting list to get the Band. Don't know my date yet and still doubting if I'll do it or not. My main concern is my look post-op. I'm single but dating. I don't like my body now but it doesn't repulse me. I'm scared of what I will look like and won't be able to find someone to be with. It's kind of a supercial concern compared to all of what i will have to go through but it's the one that scares me the most. The food, the exercise, I have control over, what I will look like, I can't decide. Do you know any sucess stories about people who didn't need plastic surgery afterwards? Can the skin get firmer with the exercise only? Thanks for your help Christine
