  1. Well... it's official... I had my first official PB tonight. I have had the terrible pain and sliming before... but this was the first time it came up instead of finally going down. I still feel like the one bite of dinner I had is stuck... any suggestions if I keep harking up slime balls and the food stays stuck????? I want to take a sip of Water SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO bad... it's taking all of my willpower to ignore this urge! :ermm
  2. Oh Miss Becky Lee... it doesn't end there... my other step-brother is a complete horror story. It's funny... when I was in the midst of that family I didn't realize how abnormal the whole thing was. Type in Ellie Nesler for an internet search or William Nesler and you will get all of the sorted details. Lisa... I agree with Miss Becky... you are a survivor... it's the luck of the draw to whom we are gifted to and unfortunately there are many people that should never be given such a gift. Sounds like your Momster needs to be behind bars or at least secured in a "special" jacket. (((hugs))) Darcy
  3. What a great gift for Christmas Penni! I am so glad that you got some happy news! Sorry to hear about your sister... my brother had a major head injury with a motorcycle accident and has never been quite the same but it sounds like your sis has a lot of other problems going on as well... must be especially tough on your Mom. *sigh* (((hugs)))
  4. Betty... I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad that you had a good experience with your first fill! I hope that your first one gives you the restriction you need! Congrats! Darcy
  5. Hiya Nancy... A woman's percentage of body fat is higher than a mans... My Tanita scale came with a pamphlet that gave the normal body fat %'s for both. I don't have mine in front of me, but I think the nrmal % for a woman is up to 22%. I'm not sure that the Tanita scale is the most accurate way to take this measurement but it's probably a good estimate. I am just happy that I am nolonger 50% fat anymore. Congrats on your loss... looks like you are kicking butt with your band! Darcy
  6. Whole bunches of happiness being wished for you and your new band! Welcome! Darcy
  7. Hmmmm... Well... if I get to have ANY wish I want... I want my husband's vasectomy to magically fail I would like to arrive in onederland I would like all of my family to be healthy and happy! Ummm... and a Gammill long arm quilting machine! Ooooh... and... for Miss Penni to get that ring and proposal! Wait ... wait... and I want to meet all of you of course! Darcy
  8. OMIGOD... I love this thread... Did I mention that my mother has been married 6 times... I was TOTALLY freaked about my divorce... scared to death I was going to head down the same road... so far... so good... think I learned my lesson and will stop the family trend! Darcy
  9. Me too!!! I love my hat!!!! I wear it all of the time!!!! ((((HUGS))))
  10. Okay... Please keep in mind that this was my STEP FAMILY and I have ZERO connection with them... My Step-brother's Wife (Ellie) is a real show stopper. When I was age 15... we all lived in Monrovia, Africa for 4 months... My Step-Father(Died years ago) and Step-Brother(Billy) were helping to set up a mining operation there. Ellie and Billy had an infant son named Willy and Ellie was literally the worst mother of note.... and seriously a disturbed person... boy was that a great 4 months. Many years later... Ellie's son was allegedly sexually abused by a man named Danial Driver... when it went to trial... Ellie walked in and shot Mr. Driver in the head and killed him. Ellie was placed in prison and was released some years later... she is now in prison on drug related charges... her son Willy is now in prison for murder. Ellie was depicted in a Lifetime Movie as a loving mother that was just protecting her son... NOT... she was a seriously crazy woman and a horrible mother. I still can't believe that I lived among those folks... it was seriously awful. Howz dat for a crazy in-law?
  11. Hubba Hubba Belinda... Dang... I have never allowed myself to even THINK about sporting a bikini... hmmm... thanks for giving me hope and for sharing your success! You look absolutely fantastic! WOW... congratulations! Darcy
  12. Welcome back and WOW on the weight-loss! WTG!!! Darcy
  13. Welcome to Bandland Steve! Looks like you are sailing through the toughest time after being banded... congrats! This is an awesome forum isn't it. I can imagine what I would have done without this site during the pre and post-banding stages! Darcy
  14. Zoe ... you look awesome! I think we are all striving to be normal and "blend" in... instead of being visibly invisible. Most surgeons are not blessed with a warm bedside manner... but hey... a compliment in any form is a welcomed...right??? My mother came to visit for the Thanksgiving holiday... she hasn't seen me since long before my surgery... NOTTA word from her precious mouth. One of my husband's relatives blurted out... OMIGOD... You've lost like a TON of weight... thank goodness for his family. I think I'm a fan of "blurters"! Cogratulations girl... you were pretty and normal before... and a knock out normal now! Darcy
  15. You look awesome Penni! WTG girl!!!! I hope you feel as good as you look! Darcy
  16. Babies are the best... I can't think of anything better... what a beautiful baby boy Pam... have fun spoiling him!
  17. Paula ... it sounds like you are having reflux... not pb. You need to call your doctor... and don't eat or drink anything a couple of hours before bedtime. If you are having reflux... the contents of your stomach are coming up into the esophagus... Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD). Call your doc Miss Paula...they will probably want to put you on medication for reflux... check the position of your band or at least remove some of your fill. Did you ever have this problem before being banded???? (((hugs))) Darcy
  18. Yeah Michelle!!!!!! I am so glad you are feeling better!
  19. Don't knock it Ryan... the next best thing to eating chocolate is smelling like it... head down to the bath and body shoppe and get your dear wife some... I only wish they would sell it in a TUB. Darcy
  20. Mine is on the left about an inch below my ribcage. I used to feel it everytime I moved or especially when sleeping on my stomach... now I barely notice it. One day I was slathering on the chocolate lotion and felt a lump on my left side and thought... OMIGOD... it's a tumor!!!!! LOL... how quickly we forget. Darcy
  21. A great bunch of fellers it is! Lurkers... come out... come out... wherever you are! Lauri... Are you appealing your denial???? I think I would have been on the first plane to Mexico if they had stamped the big red NO on my application... not sure I would have had the patience to go through the appeal process. Wishing you much luck in your journey! Darcy
  22. Michelle and Miss Becky Lee... I sure hope you both feel better soon! (((hugs)))
  23. Hi Sheean, How are you doing??? I hope you have had some of your fill removed by now as it sounds like you were WAY too restricted. I understand wanting to avoid the long drive but it seems that there are a lot less complications if fills are approached less aggressively. My first fill was 2cc's and it led to a big bunch of problems... let us know how you are doing when you get a chance and hope you are feeling better! Darcy
  24. Welcome Nik, Hope everything went well with your surgery! How are you doing??? Darcy
  25. Welcome to Bandland Fran... I hope everything went well with your surgery... be sure to update and let us know how you are doing as soon as you are up to it! Congrats! Darcy
