I am one week post-op. My surgery went well. l attempted to have the Lap Band Surgery last December. The doctor didn't place the band because he saw something on my esophagus, which he thought was a hiatal hernia. Fortunately, further tests revealed that there was no problem with my esophagus. In the meantime, l moved and changed insurance companies. l had to start the entire approval process again. Luckily for me, my new surgeon advised me of the failures and unreliability of the Lap Band. l chose to have the Sleeve. l'm really glad that l did after hearing all the horror stories with the Band. So far, so good. l just have to make it through one more week of liquids.
