I am new here.... I originally scheduled to do a lapband this month but my physician had called me and wanted to talk to me before the surgery on Nov 15. So I went to see her... And I was so glad that I did it! She wanted me to check out the gastric bypass surgery before I choose what I realy eanted to do. She does not want me to spend twice in a procedure if the lapband will not work! So, i listened to her and canceled the lapband surgery! I am currently meeting with a surgeon for bypass on the 12th.... So we can start the process...

Super excited... My surgery was moved to Nov 15....

True result who does the procedure for lapband does have there own financing! You should try that.

I am so excited... I didnt use my insurance coz it is so ridiculous... I have to pay $5000 + 20% of the surgery that would total to $7000... The surgery is only $9988. So, i have decided to just pay it n my own and use the bariatric surgery some other time if I need to do the gastric bypass which I doubt. I am very excited! I don have to go in so many hoops if i go with my insurance. Government insurance sucks ... I wish they have better plans someday!

So i am having difficulty if I want to do lapband or gastric bypass... They said that we only have one time to be covered by iinsurance... Pls. Gimme insight. If u do gastric it is permanent, if I do lapband what are thr advantages?

I am so excited and nervous at the same time. My doctor suggested that lapband wil help me in many ways with my health. I hope my insurance covers it! I weight 230 lbs and has been struggling in losing it. My doctor informed me that I have a metabolic syndrome that causes all this health issue I have right now. Thank Hod that my PCP are willing to help me go through yhis phase.
