  1. Thats soreness is where your port is. I had the problem of not being able to lay on my side for more than 2 weeks...I am still unable to lay on my stomach and I was banded 9/7/12. Glad you are able to burp as I didn't have thay luxury. Gas would move but I would never burp...then it would just sit there and hurt...ugh. The worst of it is over for you. Congrats for taking the big step.
  2. Unfortunately, I had gas pains for 16 days. Being on this app i've learned that everyones body truly reacts differently. I have a low tolerance for pain. Keep taking your anti gas meds and walk as much as possible. I found hot drinks and rubbing moved my gas. For me the worst of it all was my gas pains.
  3. Have your anti gas meds ready. Smile, your new life begins tomorrow.
  4. Enjoy the ride. Today you you are 4 days from your new beginning! Keep us posted. Im excited for you.
  5. Be careful. I get the love of running but maybe you can find other sports or exercises to compensate for what you get from running. You didn't come this far just to wind up having difficultly walking. I would love to be a runner...I cant even jog right now.
  6. Have you tried to start eating earlier so that you could stop eating earlier? That seems to work for me. Glad you are starting your week feeling better. Just finished my 3 mile walk. Used Mapmywalk app for the first time. It says my pace is 3.75mph. Im shocked bcuz I thought I was doing 3mph pace. Im aching a bit. I haven't lost any ounces in the past 2 days. Think it may be the beef Bologna I started eating. It goes down so easily but its 140 cal per slice. Been eating 3 slices a day. Everything little thing seems to make a difference.
  7. Just finished my 3 mile walk. I've been short changing myself...Used Mapmywalk app day. It says my pace is 3.75 mph. I've been thinking it was 3mph. Guess i'm doing better than I thought I was. Yeah for me! I did 3 laps around Al Lopez trail.
  8. Hey everybody. Walked 3 miles this morning at a 3mph pace. That's alot for me considering right last week I couldn't get past 1 mile. Gonna do it again tmro. If I start earlier I may make 4 miles...wish me luck.
  9. Can the person bringing you home from the hospital stay with you that day? After that you will be able to manage. Nervous is normal. But at least you are finally doing it. Welcome to the family!:-) In a few weeks you.will have so much more energy for your kids you will look back at this weekend and say "What was I thinking?" Please keep in touch on this app because people are very helpful and encouraging. Everyone is very willing to share their experiences with you. Nothing sounds stupid because they were who you are. People here really do understand whats in your head.

  11. I was sent home without pain meds. Liquid Tylenol worked well. I never take tylenol for anything but dr recommended it. Thumbs up to you!
