Well after the wait, I got approved and my surgery is scheduled for 12/21!!!!

I am waiting for Humana to send the "package" to my doctor. What it pays, the stipulations, what I pay, etc. the suspense is driving me crazi(er). Lol. I hope UHC contacts you soon!!!! I found out that my plan does not require 6 mos. of a supervised diet. I am anxiously awaiting the next step!!!! I am waiting for my carrier to put compile all my information for the center I am going to attend for the procedure.

I was told to consume a diabetic type of diet. Low carbs, fruits veggies, natural sugar, not processed.

Hello. I have PCOS and was diagnosed when I was 20 something now I'll be 39 in one month. I have the insulin resistant PCOS. My GYN explains that I still have it small or large, but it's more difficult to ovulate when heavy and it's a precursor for me to diabetes. I am suppose to take metformin but it has an unpleasant effect on me and I can't take when working. I lost weight 8 yrs ago, got pregnant because my cycle started again and now I've gained and no cycle in months.

I know some state up front 6 mis of a supervised diet and some do not require it. I read my information and it said 6 months of documented attempts and not supervised. I guess I am ready because I Want to get this done by December and do not want any surprises.

Have Humana PPO through my spouse. I received the verification of benefits and I read my coverage booklet and did NOT see a 6 mos. managed diet requirement. Has anyone experienced going through any additional requirements that was not listed such as 6 mos of supervised diet, sleep studies, etc. I am JUST starting and don't want ANY surprises by the insurance.
