Check out my before and after pictures. My before was taken in May 2012. I had the surgery in Sept. 2012. My after picture was taken in Aug. 2013, 11 months after my lap band surgery. I've told everyone, the Lap Band isn't a magical fix it solutions. You still have to do the work. Less calories, more exercise, exercise, exercise. It does help to keep me "honest". I don't have to worry about going to a party. Then having to re lose the same 5 lb it took two weeks to lose, all over again. My doctor and his team has been great. He doesn't sugar coat. He didn't tell me it was all rainbows and unicorns. That I would wake up from surgery and instantly be thin. He was honest with me. I chose him because he too went through this. He had been fat, he had the surgery. He knew what it was like to eat ice cream out of the carton, standing in a dark kitchen. His staff is absolutely the best. They know me by name my name. Encouraged me when needed. Congratulated me when earned. Is this for everyone. No. But it sure as heck has be an answer from God for me.
