  4. Been a year ago yesterday that I had the surgery. Not every day was a piece of cake. But 80 lbs lost. I run a 5K EVERY month. I've lost 10 dress sizes. Knowing I can go to a Birthday Party and not gain back every pound, it took a week to lose. The Band isn't a magical fix all. You still have to watch every bite you take. You still have to exercise EVERY day. It still comes down to less calories, more exercise. The band just keeps me from old habits. It helps to keep me honest. I LOVE my band. I'll have to post some before and after pictures. Learn to be honest with yourself. If you've never been on a diet. If you never had to lose the same 5 lbs over and over, While watching your weight continue to go up. Then you probably don't need the surgery. But you haven't came this far because you have your weight under control. Don't be standing in front of your bathroom mirror a year from now, wondering if you should have the surgery. Be standing in a bikini, thinking, "Darn, I look and feel great". Good Luck. Be brave. Do this for you

  7. Good for you! Sept 6 was my surgery date. Down 39 lbs, not everyone is the same, so weight loss is different. Honestly I wish I had done this 10 years ago. Learning that a little goes a long way. Eyes still think I need a full plate. Stomach just needs a few bites. Learn to listen to your body. Drink, drink then drink some more.
  8. Good for you, who needs Coke to be happy? Keep thinking thin!
