  5. There are so many things i am looking forward to when i get thin and healthy but to name a few...SHOPPING!!!!!! Clothes without elastic! No more back fat, Sexy panties, bending down without a struggle ( LOL ) And ( sorry if Tmi but ) seeing my lady part without lifting up my stomach!!!!! Let me hear yours!
  6. Congrats!!! So exciting!!! I can't wait for My call
  7. Can anyone come to that support group? I Just went to mine and it was awesome! I want to go more then 1x month. Where is Soch?
  8. I am going food shopping this week. I Will definitely put it on my list! Thank you for the suggestion
  9. A new dawn, what protein shakes have you tried that are good?
  10. I also have about 120 to lose (well 110 lbs would put me at the healthy range ) my Dr. didn't try to push another surgery on me. With my ins i think the band is my only option. When i went to the support grp the other night the Dr said that people that need to lose over a 100 lbs could benefit from some of the other surgery's. Plenty of people can lose over a 100 and have the band. As other posters have said research it and decide what you want to do. You have to live with it not the Dr. As long as you use your tool you will lose the weight. Good luck!
  11. why did he suggest it instead of the band?
  12. I just started using this app on my cell. It's the best! I see that you can have friends on there for support. I am under kittylove32 and my email is either lovemykitty915@gmail.com or jjjingram@yahoo.com
  13. I think a snack or 2 a day is ok as long as it's healthy and your are hungry. I have never had greek yogurt. I have to try it now! What flavor is good?
  14. Congrats! I can't wait to post the same thing! Keep us posted!
  15. So as of yesterday i started eating better, drinking water and walking. I also started making my meals last 30 min ( quite hard! ) putting my fork down after each bite, chewing a lot... Now i know what healthy foods are but what should i eat for a snack? Cheese stick? Almonds? I want to mix up my other meals too. Today i had oatmeal and a protein shake. Lunch was chicken and corn. I plan on going food shopping so i want to have some idea's of what to buy. I am thinking salmon, brown rice, almonds, lots of veggie's.. What are you guys eating?
  16. Mayasgram, loved your " little party in your mouth " LOL that's a great one!
  17. I know how hard it is to quit. I quit 4 mths ago with the gum. I am still chewing the gum. Not ready to give that up. I think I might have to once I have the surgery though. I have always been a gum chewer. I also have to give up my diet coke I rather been thin and healthy though!
  18. That's great!! So exciting. I wish you the best. Keep us posted! Oh, something I did ( I am not banded yet ) was I took a few face pics on my phone. Side views and front. They are horrible but when I think of eating something that is bad I look at those pics and change my mind pronto!
  19. Oh wow, your so close to me! I am in Toms River a lot. My in laws live there.
  20. I know what you girls mean. I have been told so many times " you Have such a pretty face but...". Tired of it. I also feel like I am a skinny girl trapped in a fat body. NOt fun at all. I actually was thin my whole life up until 10 yrs ago. I can't wait to be thin again. I am just waiting for the call that its approved. Hopefully mine will be in October. My insurance doesn't require a waiting period.

Hello! My name is Jen and I am just waiting for " the call " LOL hoping for the end of October. I am on Facebook but don't want anyone to know about my band. Some people know but not everyone needs to know. Ya know?
  22. I am so glad you posted this! I have the same problem. Not fun. It's so Embarrasing! Especially this summer. Taking my son to the park my shirt in the back is drenched. I go to the bathroom and my underwear is soaked. I have no idea what to do but once the weight falls off I am sure it will get better.
  23. I am also 5'1 but I weigh 240!!! Yikes! I haven't worn jeans or pants without a size of large or extra large so I have no clue what size I am. If I had to guess, probably a 22?
  24. What part of ocean county? I lived in manchester 2 yrs ago then bought a house and now live in browns mills.
