  5. I think everyone is different. I was banded on 10/5 and my surgeon told me no working out until 10/22 which includes brisk walking or any treadmill work, no swimming for 8 weeks' and to take it easy. I also have steristrips. My 2 week post op appointment is on Friday.
  6. I've been wondering how long post-op you need to crush your pills (I take Metformin for diabetes). When is it safe to take whole pills?

  10. Thank you all for your advice. I understand that coffee could be an irritant to the stomache and band after surgery, but quitting cold turkey is just insanely hard for me. I will have a cup of decaf before work, and will slowly wean myself this week with a whole week of no coffee before my surgery date.
