Oh wow congrats! Just a couple of days for you. I'm having it done on the 21st. How much did you lose on the liquid diet? Are you excited?

Wow, I'm hungry. Surgery is on Sept 21st. I'm nervous, happy and excited. Doc gave me the following instructions: PRE OPERATIVE DIET FOR LAP BAND SURGERY YOU MUST FOLLOW THIS DIET. NOT FOLLOWING THE DIET CAN RESULT 9IN CANCELLING YOUR SURGERY. IF IT ISN'T ON THE LIST, YOU SHOULD NOT BE EATING OR DRINKING IT. HIGH PROTEIN MEAL REPLACEMENT DRINKS- UP TO 5 DAILY EAS SUGAR FREE JELLO OR POPSICLES CRYSTAL LIGHT GATORADE G2 OR POWERADE ZERO WATER- 8 GLASSES A DAY LOW SODIUM BROTH That's it, nothing else. I'm determined so I'll do fine. Just keep filling up with fluid so I'm not too hungry.

The instructions say I can't have ANYTHING not on the list. I'm gonna call them tomorrow and ask if I can add the decaf coffee. I am missing my coffee for sure. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the support, it's much appreciated. I have the broth in the morning to replace my coffee with something hot to drink and then a cup in the evening. Glad to hear the hunger cravings go away, that's good news, thanks for that!

WoW! Your diet is different than my pre Op diet. I can't have any solid foods whatsoever. Only High protein meal replacement drinks, sugar free jello or popsicles, low sodium broth, crystal light, powerade zero and 8 glasses of water a day. I wonder why they are letting you have solid foods in preop diet?
