  1. im looking in to using dr. hargroder in baton rouge, he does the spider technique which is very appealing to me..the only thing is that he is 4 hours away and there is a great surgeon here, dr. merriman, but he doesnt do the spider surgery..also i have heard of hargroder because apparently he has alot of patients from allover who sing his praises but im having a hard time finding these reviews..so if anyone has used or knows someone that has used either dr. hargroder or merriman i would really appreciate hearing about your experience with them...thanks, jennifer
  2. Wow. Y'all have pointed out some interesting things here. I'm wondering if my quoted price is less than non self payers.....huummm....and yes care credit is only for 18 months then like 26% or fixed for 14.99%. I wish this was covered because my health is at stake ...I hate this
  3. Thanks everyone for your advise. I don't have a 401k to borrow from. I'll figure this out , I'm going to make some calls tomorrow.

  7. Im 29years old and weigh212 lbs my bmi is 37 and I have high blood pressure, pre diabetic, insomnia, degenerative discs, I have already had to have back surgery due to a really bad herniated disc and I currently have another herniated disc but it isn't surgical yet. The herniated disc caused nerve damage to my foot resulting in foot drop which has caused me to put on 10 lbs in three months, and because of the foot drop excercising is very limited...I should have five years of documented obesity with my doctor. I have unitd health care and really hope they cover the surgery. Do you think I'm a good candidate?i really believe this would improve my way of life and maybe allow me to live a longer, fuller life...so if anyone has any guesses or opinions of wether I'll be covered and if I'm a good candidate????thanks. Jennifer
