  1. I guess I will update too. I am down 76 total and 52 since surgery on 6/26. I am down to a size 10 pant size and medium shirt (started in a 18 and XXL). Feeling really good and noticing I am getting a lot of self confidence back. My weight loss has slowed down dramatically, but I was told that the last 20 lbs are the the hardest. I am 8 lbs away from being in a normal bmi range but would like to lose 10-15 more for my personal goal. Glad everyone is doing so well!
  2. Checking in. CW 137.2, goal weight 132 for valentines day. That will be 7 lbs away from where I want to be permanently!
  3. I am 6 months out, so as the others said, I can't speak for the weight gain in the long term, but as with any weight loss surgery, there is still a lot of work involved with exercise and making good choices. You could easily put the weight back on, I'm sure, if you don't stick to a high Protein low carb diet. At this point, I still can't eat more than a 1/2 cup of food at a time and I was told by a year I would be able to eat a cup, so the stomach stretches but that is not anywhere near the capacity I had before surgery! As for the Vitamin deficiency, I take a Multivitamin and vit d with Calcium once a day and my labs have been perfect every two months since I had the surgery.
  4. Made my New Years goal! Started at 141.2 and weighed in today at 137.2 this morning! Add me to the valentines challenge please and thanks for doing all this!
  5. Lol that has happened to me too!
  6. Down 1 lb at 138.8, 1 lb til New Years goal! Might be able to do it.
  7. I am 5'0. I also lost 24 lbs prior to surgery and I have lost 50 since surgery which was on 6/26/13. I would like to lose at least 10 more lbs but I would take 20 if I could get there. Things have been very slow the last couple months only losing 1 lbs every 1-2 weeks, so I am trying to be realistic I guess.
  8. I am 5'0. I also lost 24 lbs prior to surgery which was on 6/26/13. I have lost 50 since surgery and would like to lose at least 10 more but I would take 20 if I could get there! Things have been very slow the last couple months myself. 1 lb every 1-2 weeks.
  9. Wow, I would love to be a size 2! Can I ask you how long it took you to lose that much? I have lost 73 and am 138 lbs right now and I'm in a size 10.
  10. 139.8 this week! Finally out of the 140's!!
  11. I have had wine a few times, I am almost 6 months out. I too got tipsy after 2 glasses. The big thing, I think, is the fact that alcohol is high in calories. Drinking your calories can easily cause weight gain. So I try to keep alcohol to special occasions and not too excess.
  12. I have noticed that a lot more with my hips and my daughter sitting on me. There's no padding!
  13. Sounds about right! Was 203 your surgery weight or your high weight? I started at 212 in April and was at 188 when I was sleeved on June 26. I am down to 139 and I am 5'0. I am down to a size 10, so it sounds like you are doing great!
  14. I have asked before, even if you are thinking about having the surgery you are welcome there. You don't have to be a patient. They are good meetings, the LPN and the NP that hold the meeting are great and very knowledgable. All of the people I have met there so far are very nice and supportive. They are every 3rd Wednesday of the month, but there is no meeting in December.
  15. There were quite a few people there last month! We got a packet of high protein recipes for the holidays that they had the NUT put together for us.
  16. Not this month because of the holiday, but there is one planned for next month.
  17. Check in, still stuck at 141.2 for the past 3 weeks. Can't seem to get past 140, very aggravating! Getting nervous that I am going to be stuck at this weight forever! Great job to everyone else!
  18. Still here, did you get a surgery date yet?? Last time we heard from you it sounded like your insurance finally approved it?

  20. Hi, my name is Julia, I am 31, I have a 6 year old daughter, I'm married, and I sit at work all day as a medical coder, which makes things harder by not moving around much all day. I started my journey in April of 2013 and was required to lose 5% of my weight before surgery doing the south beach diet, which I exceeded! I started at 212 lbs and day of surgery I weighed 188. I was sleeved on 6/26/13 and I have lost 47 lbs since surgery, 71 lbs since I started and I want to lose 16 more (I am short only 5'0). My weight loss has significantly slowed down as I get closer to my goal which has been quite frustrating. Hopefully this will give me the push I need. I love my sleeve and I think it has been one of the best decisions I have made. I am still scared everyday that I will fail at this as I have failed at everything else, but I try to stay positive. I am wearing clothes I saved from 7 years ago before I started gaining weight and those are starting to feel loose, which makes me feel really great! Looking forward to getting to know everyone! This is me getting a pedicure over the weekend.
  21. I really wish there was a way to edit your profile from the app rather than having to go to the full version website. Thanks
  22. I'm in starting late I guess. CW 141, GW 137 for New Years. My weight loss has slowed way down too. Only 15 lbs to go to get to normal bmi!
