  1. Thanks for all the info!! To answer Lise's question - I was in a car accident 9 years ago and while I was never thin I ballooned to 400.5 lbs (as of this AM at 359) and had to go through 7 knee surgery procedures!! I am very motivated to lose the weight to ensure my new titanium knee works well. Honestly I have felt really good - I was expecting much worse. I don't miss the food (except on rare occasions when I smell something really good like Indian food or fresh popcorn). The forty pounds has also helped me use less high blood pressure pills - so that was a real bonus. Anyhow thank you again for the information - I was obsessing on the port feeling like it was out too much, but hopefully loosing more weight will make it settle back into obscurity. Liza
  2. Hi. Im' new. I had my surgery on 2/12/07 and already lost 40 lbs. Everything has been great except for one eating snafu which thankfully I found answers on this site about. One question though - it feels like my port protrudes slightly. What is other peoples experience. Thanks - Liza
  3. Helen - I just read the full thread here - thank you for your post. I was coking for my boyfriend and had a bite of steak which I thought I chewed enough - but didn't. I was banded 2/12/07 and zero problems until now. I litterally thought I was going to die. I've called the doctor - but he only sees people on Thursdays. I'm trying the Water and rest - hopefully the thing will become unstuck and I can get back to normal soon!! Thanks for sharing your experience.
