I have my consultation on Wednesday. I have been approved already, im just switching surgeons. I have BCBS of Idaho. I was wondering does it take long to get a surgery day from Dr. Garcia or no??

I'll be getting banded on Jan 24 and I have signed up and paid for Color Me Rad for Feb 16... Can I speed walk at least?? I have had issues with my 2 tummys. I have the regular tummy and then I have my lower tummy by my pelvic area. My "little gut"... While losing weight with lapband help decrease the size of fat in that area too?? I am super nervous! My whole life I have been overweight! I have never been a size smaller than 18... That was in high school! So to be able to feel good, be healthy, and be able to shop is so exciting! Congrats on your surgery date!

I will be getting my surgery done January 24, 2013. I am starting the different labs necessary. So stoked and excited and nervous and sooooo many different emotions. I feel like i need to tell every single person in my life about it, but i'm not. Good luck everybody

Thanks everybody for posting... I keep reading these encouraging posts and it helps me stay extra positive and stay focused. I cant wait to have the space inbetween my thighs too!!! I have been overweight my whole life. Diet pills, weight loss programs, diet shots, and even Alli didnt work for me. So looking forward to being able to play and run with my younger sisters, who are 7 and 5, and feel confident with myself. Good luck to you and any future banders!

I had to complete 6 months of nutrition supervision. My last nutrition call from the nutritionist was December 3rd. She told me she was going to fill out her paperwork and send it out that night. So now i have to wait 2-6 weeks for that phone call. Yesterday marked the beginning of the 2nd week.... So now i wait and see when my insurance will clear me for the surgery! So anxious and excited.
