I got my third fill yesterday and drank the water he gave me with no problem. I got home and had broth for dinner and are about 7 or 8 spoonfuls before I was very full. I went to bed almost in tears because of the discomfort I was feeling. This morning, I woke up and drank about 2 oz of water before driving to school. I had to pull over to throw up, and then I had to throw up again as I was walking into the bldg. that was about 3 hours ago and I'm still very uncomfortable and constantly feeling like I need to throw up. I haven't even been able to drink any protein shake. Is this normal?!

Thank you for all of your advice I went today and had an unfill of .5 and feel so much better!!! It had gotten to the point where I was vomiting my own saliva; it was bad!

I've lost 35 pounds since I had surgery on August 9th. I was very happy with my weight loss until I talked with a close friend who also had lapband done a few years ago. When she asked how much I had lost I said 35 lbs and she said oh ok, that's ok, someone else I know isn't really losing weight either... Now I feel like a failure... So is 35 lbs in 3 and a half months not a good weight loss? I just want to cry...

I need some ideas for recipes to cook for Thanksgiving!! I am totally drawing a blank after thinking of a couple.

I'm a DoDEA employee, so I'm also a DoD employee.

I have bcbs federal option 104 and they covered almost all of it. I had to submit 3 years of weights, 4 months of pre op dr visits. They don't pay well on the fills, I have to pay $71/ $330 each time I get a fill, but it's not bad. I'm so happy I had it done & I'm so happy they paid!

I have my first fill in about an hour and I'm so nervous! I hope I don't start throwing up after because I'm going straight to work after and you don't get to easily run to the bathroom when you teach middle school! I'm REALLY nervous... Please send good thoughts & vibes my way! Ahhh!!!

I'm 6 weeks out. I've lost 25 lbs since my pre-op diet and I've lost 10 lbs since my last appt 4 weeks ago. He only does fills if you lose less than 8 lbs in 4 weeks.

I didn't get a fill cuz I've lost enough weight to not get a fill... Idk what I think about it... I mean its a good thing I've lost weight, but I wanted the fill to move the process along! Ha!!!

I'm 6 days post-op and I'm constantly in tears! I was very ready for this experience! I researched for a year before I decided to do it and I'm not regretting my choice- by any means. But I'm having an issue! I'm in pain-- not from my surgery (anymore) but from hunger pains! I'm dying over here!! I'm doing my puréed foods, but I'm stuck! I really thought I was so ready for this going into it, but I'm starving and dying for real food... I need help!!!!!!! What do you suggest? I need tips... BAD!!! Thank you!!

Thank you so much guys!!! I'm glad I'm not alone in the feeling hungry thing! Most everyone else I had read about this soon in weren't hungry at all & satisfied with their protein shakes!! I was starting to feel veryyyy alone! Ha!! Thank you for the encouragement!!!!

I have tried cottage cheese, but haven't tried scrambled eggs! I'm definitely going to try that! Thanks!!
