Interdry
I've never used the product myself because I've never experienced any problems with my skin. But I work in a care facility and we often use it on some of our residents who seem to have irritated skin under there breasts/groins/ tummy folds and such. It's like a miracle! I would consult your doctor first incase there's an infection of some sort, but it really does bring a lot of relief and helps heal from my experiences at work with it!

Wondering What To Bring?
Thank you all! I wouldn't of ever thought to bring a heating pad! Or Chapstick! I am very blessed to have my parents supporting me with this journey and to have both of them come with me. I'm really looking forward to the healing and a new start. I think for the most part I will just stick with Water and chicken broth, I'm usually a big water drinker. Although I was wondering has the temperature of the fluids affected anyone? Should it be room temp? Or is cold water ok? Thanks again, everyone! Cheers, Courtney

New And Nervous, From Alberta Canada
I live in Kelowna, BC and am also self pay. I spoke with Dr.C and SlimBand over the phone and then drove to Victoria to meet with Dr.Tang. I found Dr.C very helpful and great mannerisms while speaking with him. Overall I decided to go with Dr.Tang in Victoria BC. He is very honest and genuinely there to change peoples lives and overcome weight problems. I also found the cost to be lower ($15,300) for a grand total since i have to travel a long distance as it is an extra 2 hour ferry ride doesnt seem so bad for a lower cost. I wasn't overly impressed with SlimBand because I felt like it really was a sales pitch and Toronto is a little far. So I made my decision based on who made me the most comfortable and at ease. Congratulations and I wish you all the luck on your journey

Banded In 7 Days!!!!
Congratulations! Will you be getting your fills at home or will you have to go back to Vancouver?I'm 23 and have been battling my weight since I was 9/10. I've also done LA weight loss and lost 60lbs in 4 months but then I gained about 120 in 2 years which is insane! I live in Kelowna BC and am having my surgery on November 16 down in Victoria BC.. Also self pay but I've been blessed enough to have amazing parents who are willing to help me with the surgery and traveling expenses! I'm really nervous about getting food stuck as well so even now I try to chew better then usual just to get in the habit of it. I'm also a little nervous about the traveling home after surgery, I have a super low pain tolerance so I have a feeling that I'll be a big baby for a little while. If this is what it takes to save my life it's worth every penny!

Congratulations on beginning your journey. I feel like I can really relate to you as well. I will be banded shortly after my 23rd Birthday on Nov 16. I have been struggling with my weight since I was about 10 years old and have tried several different programs and have been successful on losing the weight but not being able to keep it off. I'm so greatful for the opportunity and am very eager to start my new healthy life. Thanks for posting the video, very encouraging!

Rewards
I have decided when I hit my 80lb mark I'm going to get some professional boudoir photos. Just for myself, but I think it will be fun and to reward myself and remind myself how far I've come

Recently Banded And Overwhelmed!
Hi! I have not been Banded yet, so I'm not sure of a lot of things. But one thing I find to be a great alternative to chips is rice crackers, also instead of dipping tortilla chips in stuff I like to dip snap peas and carrots in fat free Greek yogurt and low sodium salsa. I find fat free Greek yogurt to be a great alternative to sour cream and it's so yummy! I like the Costco brand. Hope this helps

That's great! Thank you for sharing. Is that usual for people to get fills so often? Im going to be traveling atleast 4hours for all my adjustments

New To This
Thank you all for sharing! I'm also kind of curious how often people generally go for fills? I've looked at a lot of different company's and sites and it' seemed to be only 4/5x a year, but now that Ive read other peoples experiences it seems to be more often? I'm kind of concerned because I will have to be traveling atleast 4 hours one way.

New To This
Hi! I am very new to this and actually just booked my consultation for the beginning of September, so I am full of questions. One of the things I'm worried about is as I lose weight is that the port will be visable? Wandering if anyone has any issues with that? I also live in Canada and wandering if anyone else does? Because I am sure that the programs might be a little different. I'm only 22 so this is the biggest decision I've had to make so far in my life. I work at a care facility and my job is very physically demanding, a lot of people seem to go back to work pretty quickly. Anybody else in a similar line of work? I know everyone heals differently, but I am constantly doing heavy lifting and turning people from any where from 70lbs to 300+ so I'm expecting to take about 6weeks off of work. I would love to hear others thoughts and words of advice. Thanks, Courtney
