Hi everyone, Can anyone from the Vegas area recommend a Lap Band Surgeon? I've attended Dr.Tengs seminar & I will be attending Dr. Atkinsons tomorrow. Any advice or recommendation would be really helpful. Thank you!

I'm just at a 38 BMI with a few co morbs & not taking any meds for them! I'm going through my 6 mo process right now & don't want it to be a waste!

I'm in the same situation! I really like the surgeon BUT, the office manager.....NO BUENO!

Hi Gabrielle, What made you decide on Dr. Atkinson? Did you ever meet Dr.Teng? My insurance doesn't cover the sleeve as well! You said that you're not looking forward to the follow up care....you mean the fills? Thanks for responding!

I guess the question about permanent damage came from me researching the internet like a crazy person....I'm so damn nervous & this is ALL I can think about! Way to go on your 90+ lbs! Thank you everyone, you've been so helpful! Now I want it like yesterday! I know how to diet & I know how to lose weight........I just can't keep it off! I think LapBand is just the help I need!

Does anyone know what would be considered a comorbidity for Tricare other than the ones listed on their site? I saw the surgeon today & he doesn't think insurance will cover me. He said that my high cholesterol won't count due to me not being prescribed meds for it! He also said no to my PCOS as well! Any info would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

So happy for you Heather! Well, my visit didn't go so well. He said that insurance probably will NOT cover me.

Thanks everyone! Well, I just got back from my 1st meeting with the surgeon. He said that I'm a perfect candidate for the LapBand BUT, insurance will probably not cover me! Basically, I'm not sick enough or big enough......Not too sure what I'm going to do yet but, I'm not giving up!
