  1. I have been on liquids for 4 weeks. After my first post op visit I was told my stomach was still swollen so I had to stay on liquids for two more weeks. This has been the first week I try mushy foods. Although I've only tried a couple of tablespoons of egg, I'm trying to slowly try some form of food. I still mostly drink my liquids and I'm about to finish my 5th week Monday.
  2. I had the same problem went to my doctor, they had me do a swallow test and saw that my stomach was still swollen. They had me do clear liquids for twos/
  3. I'm three days of being 4 weeks post-op. I went in today since I'm having some complications, and have lost 30 lbs since surgery. I am still on a clear liquid diet but about to start mushy foods for 2 weeks.
  4. We tried it at two weeks post op, I was a bit sore. Three weeks post op, it was much better:). But again, we all do have different pain tolerances, so it's up to you and how your body feels.
  5. Sleeved July 23rd, down 18 pounds. I still have pain on main insition on right side and can't really bend over and pick up something yet. Dr. Is keeping me on liquids two more weeks since my stomach is still swollen. Really looking forward to mushy foods but I still can't handle anything thicker than the protein shakes.
