I had the very same thing happen! Went to ER on 2 seperate occasions and it was a hernia. There were no pain meds that touched that pain. Felt like a pulling...tearing feeling on my insides. My surgeon told me unless something actually prolapses thru the hernia...its best to wait to repair it bc our weight is still high and would prolly happen again. After almost a full month of pain...I woke up and it was gone. I hope urs doesn't last this long...but ur not alone. Im just at 4months tomorrow...down 64lbs. Good luck!

I'm about 36 days out after bypass...and ohhhh the nausea! Anyone else experienced this? How long does it last? Anything help??

Hey Falica004...I have that pain too...but only when getting up...sharp stinging pain. Ur not alone!! Had my suegery on Nov.14...first 24 hr was pure pain!!! Honestly...was the worst pain I've ever experienced. Feeling much better today. Hope ur feeling better too!

Im having bypass surgery on Nov.14...live in Wichita, KS but having Dr.Bergkoff at North Kansas City Hospital, MO. Anyone close??

I actually just decided to call my surgeon... Was tired of stressing about it. My surgeons nurse said it would not hurt anything.... Just to lay off until surgery bc it will affect anesthesia... She said it is not a big deal... Def. Wouldn't cancel surgery bc of it. Hope this helps anyone else looking!!

Has anyone been rescheduled or declined from surgery for smoking marijuana? I don't smoke cigarettes...never have, but have I "have a friend" that likes to partake in the herb. I have my preop blood work next week and I know they are testing for nicotine...weed has none. Any thoughts? And...yes, I know all the soapbox worthy advice. Thanks in advance for leaving the preaching at church.
