  1. Thanks ladies it is just so uncomfortable I feel like I have to burp and I can feel the air travel up an down. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!
  2. I everyone. I was banded yesterday and I feel like something is sitting in my chest but it feels more like air. Im thinking gas and in trying to walk as much as possible. It's just really uncomfortable. I try to burp but that doesn't seem to want to work as I just can't. I have the Gas-X chewables and I'm not entirely sure they work just yet.
  3. I'm also in Ontario and banded yesterday!
  4. Hi everyone. Thank you so much for all of your prayers! I'm home now an officially banded. Everything went according to plan. I actually feel as good as I think I'm supposed to. Very much on drugs right now but I'm good. I look forward to posting and receiving lots of information and becoming part of the family!
  5. Hey everyone! Anyone in Canada? Banded or being banded?
  6. You all are truly amazing. I'm very emotional today. I'm actually crying writing this. Surgery is at 12:30pm I'm in Toronto Canada and need to be there an hour before. Last night the time was flying by. I had to stop eating at 7pm then next thing I knew it was midnight and I could not drink anything. Now all of a sudden the time has stopped LOL. Thank you for all your thoughts, good vibes, deep down I'm damn right excited to e starting my last day 1 (of a diet) I'm excited to finally start my first day 1 of my new life style! Thanks for all the tips, and I will for sure let you all know when I'm home. Thanks again and I can't wait to learn more from all of you!
  7. I everyone I just had to come on and say today is the day I have surgery. I haven't been able to sleep all night. It's been one of those close your eyes and toss and turn kind of night. I'm very nervous/ anxious I just want the surgery part over with and to just start recovery! Please send me you good vibes today! I'll report back later. Thx,
  8. Get girl! I'm also being banded on aug 20! This is very exciting and I can't wait to hear how your doing! Looks like well be recovering together
  9. Green tea! So here's my new thing since I can have decaf tea. You need a jug, decaf green tea, sweetener, and I ice. Boil the Water, and pour into the jug with 4 bags of green tea. Add sweetner to taste. Chill in the fridge with some ice cubes. Now you have a shaken green ice tea from Starbucks. Nice little sweet treat and no calories!
  10. @kpizzle can you have fruit or just shakes?? My pre-op diet consists of protein and vegetables. I've gone through stalks of celery like no bodies business. What are you allowed to have?
  11. Thank you. Okay let's stay in touch. Good lack to you! We can do this!
  12. Great.. We got this off to pre op diet tomorrow!
  13. This is great thanks everyone! I agree let's keep in touch because I'm sure recovery will be interesting!!
  14. Hey Cassie! This was one reason why I felt like I couldn't tell a whole bunch of people. My work knows in having surgery but not lap band surgery. I have struggled with my weight my entire life. I don't remember being under 200 lbs (how crazy is that) I have had to answer to myself everyday for 29 years don't eat that eat that, what can't you do this. Having lap band survey is going to end that talk! Yes I have to make the right decisions, but I sure as hell do don't want to answer to anyone but me! I have told 5 people! My mom, sister, husband and 2 of my closest friends. No one else will even know I'm having surgery. I like it that way. If your coworkers talk to you about it, simply say, thank you for your concern, but this is my decision and there is nothing left to talk about. You are making this decision, and you have to live your life. As long as you are okay with it, that's all that matters!
  15. Thanks Cassie! That's great we're a day apart! We got this! It's caribana weekend in Toronto today so lots of parties and what a way to kick start before the Pre op diet! What area do you live? We should defiantly keep each other posted!
