Good morning Violets!! How was everyones weekend?? Well thanks to all the prayers and good wishes from her auntie Violets my little sister did great. She was in absolutely no pain and she has no gas pain. Lucky dog!! I booked their stay until Tuesday so that she would have plenty of time to recover but she's been ready to come home since Saturday. She's on clear liquids until Friday, then she can move up to creamy soups. Because she feels normal I think her head hunger hit before it should have. I don't remember being hungry until about two weeks after but she's already complaining about that. Good thing our transition period into mushies is only three weeks or else she would probably chew her own arm off, he he he... Househuntress - I too feel port pain more often now. I feel it when I eat too much and when I'm sitting hunched over my computer for long periods of time. If you're working out your abs that probably is the reason too... I thought about calling my doctor about it but it hasn't been so severe yet. Terri - I love the Heights! That would be my dream area to live in if I could afford the price of the houses! I really feel like you have the best of both worlds in that area. Big city living blocks away but still it still feels like a small cozy town. My coughing and hacking has gotten worse! I can't seem to shake this thing out of my system. The only good news to come out of this is that I'm slowly losing again. I hadn't seen changes like this on my scale in quite awhile. I hope I'm able to maintain this weight loss and not shoot back up once I start to feel normal again. But for now I'm claiming it!!! I can't believe I hit the 220's!!!! It feels like I'm so close to onederland now... :crying:

TracyK - the only thing that works for me is plucking. I pluck each friggin hair one by one. The wax gives me a rash and then I get like this thick crust on my upper lip. OMG, it's so gross. And the bleach also gives me a rash. I've never tried threading, which is what Laura is saying, but I would assume it's just like plucking. The thread plucks each hair out of you very quickly. I've seen it done, just never had it done myself... For whatever reason my skin has become super super sensitive ever since I was banded. I don't know if there is a correlation at all but it really has...

Yep, Tracy, pretty soon we'll be a plastic family... After I got banded another one of my aunts went down there and got her nose and her boobs done. Then a few months after that another aunt got boobs and a butt implants. Now today another aunt is getting boobs and face lift. In May, my cousin is going to go get boobs done. Can you tell that we were not so blessed in the boob department in my family? The only woman in my whole family that has sizeable boobs is Erika. We have no idea where who she got that from. Everyone else has mosquito bites. My boobs are unfortunately fast getting to be mosquito bites. They're shrinking faster than my gut is...

Kat, how long is a plane ride to your band doctor? If I were in your shoes that's what I would do. My band doctor is 45 min away by plane if need be... Keep us posted... ((((hugs)))) Yes Terry, Erika is in Mexico. Our band doctor is in Monterrey. Plastic surgery capital of Mexico! He he he... One of my aunts is down there too. She's getting a face lift and her boobs done. My poor mom, she is going to be taking care of both of them for a few days down there...

I'm glad that at least the fever is gone. I was going to call her later on today. That sucks that she can't go to the ER to get an unfill done. OH, my sister just got out of surgery. She's officially banded!! She's in a little pain and kinda groggy. She'll be in the nurse's observation area for two hours and then she'll be moved to her private room. I'll keep ya'll updated with her progess...

Hi girls. I'm finally feeling human again. Spent all day yesterday in and out of a fever fog. Luckily though I was able to drink all I wanted. Kat, I can't imagine what you're going through! Did anyone call her last night? I have bronchitis and all the doctor said I could do is keep taking Tylenol for the fever and keep the humidifier on in my room. That really helped with my wheezing. Today I'm coughing a little bit but my body aches like I went one round with a boxer. I'm gonna keep taking the tylenol even though I don't have fever anymore. The only good news to come out of this whole sickness...I'm down to 230.2. Woo hoo!! I haven't had an appetite and hopefully it doesn't come back for a few days. I'm terrible, aren't I? I'll be back in a little while... I've gotta start tackling this email pile...

i can't get over this friggin cold... I feel like crap again. I went to work today but ended up coming home around noon. I slept most of the day. Had a bad fever when Juan came home. He came me some more sudafed and just now am starting to feel a little bit better... I've gotta shake off this crud ASAP. I'm going to be running my mom's business this weekend while she's out of town with my sister. It's hard work with yucky hours... Laura - glad you're feeling better. When will you finally know what you had? Shoot, I hope that the scale at least rewards me for being sick... I haven't weighed myself in a few days... Okay, today I had a cup of egg drop soup and a cup of bean soup. I'm sucking on a rainbow freeze pop right now. Tracy - Dr. L doesn't take insurance? Weird... Who else are you looking at? Ok, I'm gonna go check my emails then I'm off to bed... Everyone who is sickie I hope you feel better soon...

Feeling much better now... I think the theraflu helped... breakdown of what i ate today: no Breakfast today... for lunch i ate the inside of a small burrito: Beans, ground beef, lettuce tomatoes i made hamburgers for dinner for my family and i ate a modified burger: half a patty with half a slice of cheese, lettuce, tomatoes ok, american idol is about to come on. catch ya'll later...

Morning ladies. Feeling a little better today. Still severly congested, trying to cough out all the crud in my chest and in my sinuses. I'm gonna use the weight on my ticker. 233. I was at that a few days ago before I started my period. Right now I'm at 235... Laura - how are you feeling this morning? Like Terry said, you're more than welcome to call me at anytime. Are you going to the doctor today? Hopefully my fever doesn't come back today. I'm at work and there's paper piles all over my desk. Yuck... It's a monday to me...

Hi girls... I was so sick today. Fever, coughing, sore throat. Yuck... I just got out of bed for the first time today. We stayed out late last night at Juan's mom's house and when I got home I was just done. Just passed out. Feeling much better now though. I'm in for the contest. I'm up right now cuz I'm on my period. I'm so bloated, my belly is huge right now. Should I count my weight now or the weight I was a few days ago? Okay, this is what I ate today: 1/2 mashed potatoes for lunch 1 pint of vanilla ice cream for dinner about 3 Liters of water wonderful food day, huh? The ice cream helped my throat!!

Happy Easter everyone!! Getting ready to head to mass this morning... Afterwards a little while at Juan's mom's house then off to my parent's house. I tried on this dress this morning and it's so cute but I wish one of ya'll was here to tell me if it's too tight. If I'm thinking it is, it probably is. I got it at a thrift store a few months ago and it wouldn't even slide past my thighs but now it zips up and everything. But I think it might be a tad too tight... I'll leave it for my Violet's weekend. It should fit perfectly by then... Jane - the eggs took all day to make. We started around 10am and finished around 7pm. We had a ton of them. First we dyed them, let them dry. Then we decorated them with glitter and little rhinestones and bits of lace. Then let them dry again. Then stuffed them with confetti and sealed the top with tissue paper. So much work and they'll be gone within a matter of minutes... But it's a family tradiotion and the kids look forward to it. Okay, well off I go to get ready... I think I'm gonna wear my plaid skirt instead. I don't want to be uncomfortable all day. Everyone have a wonderful day today!!

Good morning violets. It's a beautiful day here today. I wish it would be like this tomorrow but tomorrow it's supposed to be cloudy and a little cold. Grrr... We finished decorating all our eggs yesterday. It was a huge messy ordeal but so much fun. The kids had a great time. We did 14 cartons of 18 eggs each carton. Oh, my throat is getting a little scratchy. I hope I'm not getting sick... crap... I can't get sick right now. My sister is having surgery next week and while my mom is out of the country with her I'm taking care of her business. What can I take to help boost my defenses? I'm gonna go post some pictures now... Let's see if I can do it without messing up the thread...

Just getting ready to sit down with my turkey chili. I can't believe the site was down for you all day Laura! That sucks. Yay Terry! I forgot you had your consult today. I had TracyK look at my benefits booklet from work and all obesity related stuff is completely not covered. Boo... So it looks like I'm gonna have to save up my money and head back down to Mexico. Probably next year. All I want is a basic tummy slashing, whatever that is called. No muscle repair no contouring, nothing like that. I just want this big belly out of my way. And since I'm still planning on having kids I will probably need more extensive work later on in life... I'll be patient for perky boobs and a tight ass!! Jane - who's Adam? He sounds like a creep! BBL...

Guess what?? I've got great news!! My little sister decided to get banded!! She is going next week, on Thursday! Ever since I started losing steadily and feeling tons better about myself I've been wanting her to go and get it done. I never ever wanted to push her though. I wanted it to be her idea. She started gaining weight around 5th grade and just steadily gained. Right now she's 22 and weighs about 260, I think. I am just so happy beyond belief but also scared. She's just like my own baby since she's nine years younger than me. Well, it's 5 pm here. Time to go to the grocery store... check back in later with ya'll...

nana - I can eat about half an arepa. Same with tamales. About half of one. Rice also gives me problems. I can eat a few tablespoons of it mixed with the Beans. Umm, plaintains are like potatoes for me. If you chew them well you won't have a problem with them. Okay for any of you that might also like authentic mexican food and are wondering about if you'll still be able to eat it: Menudo - I can have a small bowl. I chew the heck out of the meat but you really can't break it down too much. But I'm not that tight. Tripas - I can have like one taco if they are cooked really crispy. If they are super chewy then I can just have one bite and I'm done. Chicharrones - yum... these go down oh so easy... Birria - I chew it well and I can have a small serving.... Umm, what else? Can't remember anything else off the top of my head...

Where was Terry going? I don't remember if she said that she was going somewhere...

Umm, what else... nothing much. I'm cleaning house today since I'm having people over all weekend. Friday we are doing the eggs, Saturday I'm having my parents and Juan's mom over for dinner, Sunday we might also do something at my house. Dunno. We'll discuss it tomorrow while we decorate eggs...

Good grief my day went by fast... I can't believe it's already 4 pm! I leave in an hour!! yippee! No water today but also no junk. I had a salad for lunch and probably fish for dinner. We're doing our eggs tomorrow! Hope someone remembers to bring confetti. I completely forgot to get some.

I'm having the hardest time with my coffee this morning. I keep burping and it just gurgles around in my chest before going down. My fill is really weird this time. Sometimes I have trouble getting even liquid down and sometimes I am able to eat a full breakfast of eggs and bacon. Makes no sense...

Yum, boiled eggs... I love 'em... What makes me so sad about split up families is the fact that the kids have whole other families that they don't even know about sometimes. My mother comes from a large family. 9 sisters and 2 brothers. All of them have kids, my cousins. The two men in the family have had three sets of kids with three different women, each. It makes me sad because I loved those kids and got to know them and then the adults would split up and the ex-wife wouldn't allow our family to see the kids anymore. So out there in this world I have, let's see... 13 cousins that probably don't remember that I exist, and that don't know that I love them, even now. I worry that some of my younger cousins might even date their own cousin because they have no idea who anyone is... I'm sure it's happened to someone the way that famillies are all disconnected nowadays...
