  1. good morning!! so much going on and I really need to get everything caught up before I leave. I'm still trying to close my April books and it's already almost mid May! I'm also gonna leave Juan a honey-do list for him to work on while I'm gone so I need to leave the house spotless so that he can work without clutter around. Oh so much to do!
  2. I take that to heart sometimes! I like to get my curly hair up in a banana clip, (yes! from the 80's!) and tease it and puff it up... my sisters tease me unmercifully...
  3. Sure, i'll bring the alcohol! That way the party won't get started until I get there! woo hoo!!
  4. YES!! that's the best part about arguments, right?? Well I called him and I told him that I apologized about getting on him. I also told him that it took a huge weight off my chest to tell myself that I am "ok" with him never being on time. Now that I've told myself that I accept that characteristic about him next time it happens I can't fume about it because that's just him. One break through down, 50,000 to go... LOL
  5. Tracy, those are beautiful pictures! It looked so sunny and wonderful! Pam - yes, you're right. He's never gonna change. We've been arguing about his tardiness for 13 yrs. Don't know why I think I can make him change that. He can't make me change about my messiness. He says the same thing to me, I'm like a cyclone. I leave a mess in my path all the time. I don't clean up after myself, I don't put stuff away...and he's slowly started to just accept that. I'm going to apologize right now about blowing up about it....
  6. well if the slots are tight then heck no we won't be going! we like 'em lose!
  7. Pammy, that's not a weird request. Michelle said she has tweezers and I carry mine with me at all times. I pluck stray hairs while I'm at red lights. Weird huh? I'm super hairy and have to maintain almost every day.
  8. Okay, I am going to pack all my stuff in my car on Wednesday so that I don't forget anything. Terry, do you know if the grocery list is finalized? Has everyone made all their requests?? Extra beach towels, extra sunscreen, extra bathroom toiletries to share... those are on my list... Anyone need me to bring anything else in order for you to make room in your bag?
  9. Yep, she want to le buerge du lac (sp?). New casino in Lousiana. Can't wait for her reviews! Me and my aunts have been wanting to go since it opened. How was everyones weekend? I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother's Day. And Pammy I hope you weren't too sad yesterday. I know it's hard for you. (((hugs))) My weekend was busy and it flew by, as always is the case. Time just is flying for me. I can't believe we're already in May. Friday I baked 4 dozen cookies for some gift baskets for friends that are moms. Saturday we hit the mall early for some sales they were having. Me and my sister found lots of good deals. Then we went to the cemetary to leave flowers for my grandmother and we spent some time there. I know that she's not actually "there" but it does give me comfort to go and clean up her gravestone and to just spend some time there. Then Saturday evening we spent a few hours putting together the baskets for our aunts. They looked really beautiful and they really loved them. Then Sunday was just crazy, trying to get everything cooked in the morning, church, and get over to my aunts on time. Me and Juan got into a huge fight. He really can't seem to ever be on time. For anything. And this drives me BATTY. He said he was going to do yardwork while I cooked. He asked me THREE times what time we were leaving the house. He went to go do my sisters lawn, his mom's lawn and then he was going to do our lawn. By the time he came around to our house it was already time to go. But of course, he said he wanted to finish and would I wait for him. I waited 45 min and finally just left in a huff. Why o' why do I let him get to me?
  10. YAY!!!!!!!!!
  11. Jenn - im an 18 now. ill see if those levis fit!
  12. Oh yes yes yes! A keychain from brighton. perfect! Thanks Terry!
  13. okay, i need some help. I have alot of aunts and i get them each a little thing on mothers day and try to make it special. This year I got them each a wallflower from Bath and Body works. It's like a pretty, scented plug in. They come in these pretty boxes so all I'm going to do is stick that in a pretty colored cellophane bag, tie it up with a raffia ribbon and bake some tiny cookies and put them in a little cellophane bag and attach that to the raffia bow. BUT, now my sisters want in on the gift. They waited till the last minute to go shopping and they think my idea is cute. Sooo, we're trying to add something else to the package now. Nothing too expensive but that would go good with the wallflower... Any ideas?
  14. and on that note... email me your recipe for the buckle. I just looked it up on google and it looks delish! that would make a good treat for my monday night get togethers with my aunts...
  15. michelle, i'm the same as you! I read about everyone eating a 1/2 cup of this or 4 oz of that and I'm like "WHOA". I can eat normal amounts, no restriction. I'm also getting a fill at the end of May! Can't wait. It's been awhile since I've eaten like a bandster. I was saying the other day that unfortunately I let my band do all the work. When I have good restriction I'm losing weight. When I don't, I am completely stalled.
  16. Yes I did Terry, thank you so much. You've done so much already. I hope things get better with your mom. Your family is in my prayers...
  17. no, you don't have to go through security again. 51 min should be plenty of time for you to walk from one concourse to the next. if you see yourself pressed for time you can catch a ride with one of the little shuttles that go around the airport. just flag one down. it looks like a long little golf cart.
  18. Hi Ms. Jen!! My band twin! How are you?? How's everything going for you?? Whew, so glad it's finally Thursday. Been busy as heck around here. Won't slow down again until next Monday. Should be able to breathe by then. I've got family coming in from out of town so I've been trying to put the final touches on my house and our guest rooms. Mother's Day is a big holiday for us since we have such strong awesome women in our lives and we loooovee to spoil them on their special day. Yay Tracy!! You're doing so good! Send some of your will power over here... or do you need every single last drop? LOL TracyK - where would you be moving to? closer to houston, perchance? Suzie - I love David Cook and I do think he's the best one of the bunch this year. I'm so glad they finally got rid of eye candy Jason last night. Hopefully he'll do some modeling or something where he doesn't really have to open his mouth too much! Can't believe our trip is already a week away!!! I'm so excited and I've got so much to do before we leave!!
  19. Dittor what Tracy said Pam! Wonder why there is always so much drama in the schools with the teachers. my best friend, a teacher, always has drama going on with her boss and her co-workers. I wonder if it's like that everywhere else, like in other offices too? My office is small and we all get along.
  20. thanks terry! but it always happens, you always want what you don't have. my middle sister had super straight, fine hair and she begged my mom for a perm at the age of 12. She got perms until the age of 23 when she finally was able to make peace with her beautiful straight hair. In my house there are three of us girls, three sisters. i have super curly, kinky hair. the middle child, Claudia, has super straight, thin hair. The youngest, erika, got the best hair. It's super thick and she can do a quick thing with the straight iron and it's nice and straight or she can blow dry it with the diffuser and it's wavy and curly. we hate her.
  21. jane, i'll have to have you look at my hair and give me a suggestion on what to do with it. i've had the same do since 6th grade! i feel like since my hair is super curly like i can't do anything with it! you tell me...
  22. Hi hi hi!! So busy today, trying to close last month and all my stuff is due by the 5th and that was yesterday so i'm so behind so i just wanted to say hi! HI!
  23. WOW! it's so close now! I can't believe it's almost here. I haven't started packing yet but I will this upcoming weekend. I've been setting stuff aside to bring with me to share. I've got two full bags! lots of cute stuff...
  24. Jane, you getting a fill tomorrow? Yay! How's your reflux?
  25. Good morning Violets! Yes Pam, you spelled it right! Weather is yuck today. Took me 1 1/2 hrs to get to work this morning and it normally takes me 45 min. Gross. I had quite a productive weekend... Starting with Friday, I got to leave work early and meet my best friend. We went down to Chinatown and shopped and ate Dim Sum. YUM. I loooove that stuff. We finally came home around 8pm and then I had to bake a cake for a work meeting that we had on Saturday. Well, in my rush I put in too many eggs in my recipe and the cake turned out eggy. So at around 11:30 pm I ran down to WalMart and got more stuff to start all over. I didn't go to bed until 1:30 am. Saturday we had a big meeting at the office with some out of town visitors. I was in charge of the lunch spread so I got up early to assemble and ice my cake and then run to the deli to pick up our order. Then run to the office to set up the conference room. Whew. Saturday was over before I knew it. Sunday was just as busy. We went and got that island I wanted!! It looks so good in my kitchen. I'll send ya'll pics. Thank you for talking me into it! Then we ran around and did errands and in the evening me and mom and sisters went to go see Made of Honor. Umm, it was okay. It's like My Best Friends Wedding. But Patrick Dempsey is so cute and my loves him so she made us go see it, LOL. I'm in need of a fill soooo bad. I tend to let the band do all the work. Saturday I had two BBQ ribs for dinner with some potato salad. Sunday I had two eggs scrambled with spinach. Dinner last night was chicken on the grill and I had two wings and half a thigh. I'm scheduled for a fill at the end of May, when my sister gets her first fill. Hopefully this one will be the one that lasts... Sorry for my rambling! Denise - Your baby girl looks so good!! What a wonderful picture of her and her husband. She is glowing! I didn't see the Kentucky derby but I heard about that poor horse. OMG I would have cried! I hate to see animals suffering. Did anyone see that Oprah show about the puppy mills. I didn't see it on purpose. I know what happens but I feel so helpless sometimes. I donate to shelters and do volunteer work but how can we get these dog abusers to stop?? Ugh... Off to get my coffee... Suzie, thanks for the drink reminder. It always helps me. When I see it I always fill up my liter bottle and bring it in with my coffee and as soon as I finish my cup I get started on my water...
