LOVE the picture Terry! It's a glorious day here in Houston girls. Hoping that the weather is just as nice for the Violets bash. I'm with you Kat, I use tons of sunscreen. I want to look as good as my mom looks at 50 and she was always careful about the sun. I'm still trying to undo the damage that I did to myself in my teens!

awww shoot, then I did lose! I'm at 229 right now!! I thought I hadn't lost anything! Yay me!

Laura - yes I know how many calories are in them. That's why I made that sarcastic remark about not knowing why my weight stays the same meanwhile eating sugary pop tarts every morning, LOL. I thought ya'll would get it!!

Jane, honey bunches of oats, get your ass to the doctor!! You've had reflux for awhile now. It can't be good for you. I would go seek treatment for it ASAP. I'm also the same weight...229 Woo hoo. I've been flirting with that same number for about three weeks now and I have no idea why... Off to finish my sugar-laden pop tart... :smile: So I have a question... I've been wanting to get a small island for my kitchen. And I found one that I liked. It matches my breakfast table and my buffet that I also have in my kitchen but it doesn't match my kitchen cabinets or my kitchen counter. Do ya'll think that matters? Let me post some pics so you see what I mean... This is my breakfast table... and then the island I want to purchase. What's ya'lls opinion? Is it gonna look tacky?

Terry - can you answer Laura's question? I usually only fly Continental so I always always arrive at the same terminal. Would they all arrive at different terminals and have to take the shuttle to terminal C? Sorry Pam, I truly didn't mean to hurt your feelings. It was insensitive of me to say that... It really truly isn't about the weight we've lost, it's just about the friendships we've formed in our little group.

LOL, I didn't get those shoes because I too would be flat on my face within minutes. I can stand in them but I can't actually take a step in them, LOL!! That's the exact color that I want and I'm gonna just start looking for a little bit shorter heel. Jenn - I don't think you understood Kat's message. What she was trying to do was not to offend YOU. She was letting you know that she was about to say something about one of your familly members that you might not like and she was hoping that you wouldn't be upset with her about it. That's what that "there is a line that friends cannot cross" comment was about. She was about to cross that line and was giving you a heads up. You feel better today?? (((Hugs))) Pam - your job sounds wonderful on paper but I know it's much harder than it looks. My best friend is a teacher so I hear first hand about all the stress and the problems. But she loves what she does and loves all her kids even the trouble makers. She's been wanting me to go into teaching for years but I don't think that I would be able to play the behind the scenes politics aspect of the job. I'm kinda blunt and that gets me in trouble... Well we finally narrowed down where we are going for summer vacation. My dad is so indecisive about stuff like this. He hems and haws for months. He finally decided on Cabo. Never been there. Any one of ya'll been? I haven't done much research and we're due to leave in the middle of June. That's about a month and a half away. He always waits till the last minute. Oh well. I don't complain, I just go where they take me. :coolgleamA: Off to get my coffee...

I still remember the few times my mom was actually able to go with us on field trips. You're right Kat, I'm just gonna keep the size as is and if I have to take it in a few inches I will. No sense in stressing myself! So by unanimous decision I went with a bronze heel. I found some shoes I liked at Dillards. They were a little high so I'm gonna keep looking but here is the general idea:

Once you get off your plane you head down to the baggage claim area and then wait for your other two partners in crime to get in. Once all three of ya'll are there in baggage claim then all you do is step outside and wait on the sidewalk for me to drive up and escort you to San Antonio. But yes, please keep your cell phones on in case anything changes...

Thanks girls, I think I will go with the bronze shoes... Jenn - The dress arrives on June 28th and the wedding is July 19th. So I have time to make alterations if needed. But I don't get to exchange it for a different size if it's too big. I have until today at 5pm to make up my mind on the size I need.

Judy, I'm a notary, LOL. I'll be witness to you "sleeping" with a lesbian... I can't wait!! It's like I have a big bubble in my tummy... I usually wait to pack until the night before but I'm gonna do like Judy this time and pack with plenty of time...

oh and what color shoes would look best with this dress? we get a choice between silver, gold or bronze high heeled sandals...

here is the pic of the dress. The bottom is a non issue since it flares nicely away from my big ass. The top fit perfectly... but now i'm having second thoughts about the size i ordered...

That doesn't even look like you Judy!! What a great NSV! That's also one of the ways that I like to get my spirits up when I'm a little down. If I'm having a bad scale day or if I get frustrated with the size that I see on my pants, I walk over to Juan and ask him to give me a hug. It feels so good to have his arms come around completely that it makes me forget about my size 18 pants or the number on the scale. In the past he would just pat my back with both hands...mostly my fat on my sides, LOL...

I'm so glad it let me post that. I'm still having trouble with the site. It keeps trying to re-load like every five minutes. I wrote that in word and then did a copy/paste!

Hi girls!! OH my gosh, we are getting so close. I'm getting excited and nervous all at the same time. In real life I'm actually quite shy and I have trouble meeting new people. I guess here with ya'll with the cloak of anonimity on me I was able to just relax and be myself. But now I'm getting nervous. What if ya'll don't like me? LOL... Judy - you are organized lady! I usually pack the night before I leave on a trip. Usually chaos ensues and a midnight trip to WalMart happens. And I don't get any sleep and yuck... you get my drift. I need to learn from you. I've got several trips planned this year. I need to be more organized for them... I've got a box of clothes that I'm bringing with me to see who wants what and who fits in what. Whatever is not taken will be brought back with me and sent to Purple Heart. TracyKS - you were glowing in your picture!! I can't wait to be a mom! Michelle - I'm with you. Even though I've lost alot of weight and I feel good about myself I am still huge. It always happens when I see pictures of myself. In my head I see one thing but the camera doesn't lie. Oh well, I just have to keep going. The difference is now when I see a picture I'll say to myself, "oh well, in a few months i'll look different". I don't stress about it too much. In the past I would never ever ever want to take pictures. I had a great weekend. Friday night I went out to dinner with my mom and my sisters. I'm so glad Erika is banded. We share a plate now! We had baked snapper with steamed veggies. Saturday night we went out to dinner for our April birthdays. All the girls in my family get together and go out for our birthdays once a month. We went to Nino's, a nice little Italian place in downtown Houston. Ever been there Terry? Mr. Mandola himself was there and he came over to our table and said how it made him so happy to see a table full of gorgeous ladies in his restaurant. Then we all went dancing at this new club called Bam Bou. Soooo much fun but I felt like an old lady! Erika choose the club and it was all people her age! Oh well, we made the best of it. We all danced together and had lots of martinis, he he he. Sunday, I slept in while Juan did yard work. He finally came and woke me up around 11 am and we went out to breakfast and then to the mall. I didn't get anything but he got some new shirts. Then I went to go get fitted for my bridesmaid's dress for my cousins wedding. I'm a size 18 and I should have ordered a smaller size and I didn't. I wonder if I can still change it? Hmm, what do ya'll think? The wedding is July 19th. The 18 fit me perfectly. Not snug at all but not loose. I'm getting a fill in two weeks. Hmmm.....

Judy, this is a piece of cake compared to parasailing! There's always lots of kids in the water too, if they can do it so can you!

Laura - You hated being obese. I'm pretty sure you're normal now. Maybe not by the charts but to everyone else you look perfectly normal now. We usually take a cooler with us but we usually do the 6-8 hr ride. I don't know if it's worth us hauling a cooler for a two hour ride? What do ya'll think?

Pammy - your flowers look so pretty! I'm like you, I don't know the names of nothing. I like pretty stuff. As soon as my garden blooms I will post some pics... TracyK - Traffic is horrible everyone in and around Houston. One of the many drawbacks of living here. But I wouldn't have it any other way... :clap: Too bad you have to spend your whole time working. I would have met you for lunch or something! Terry - I've never been to the Bayou City Art Festival ! I view art the same as I view flowers, I like pretty stuff... Yesterday I was feeling melancholy and I went back to read through our old thread... We've always been so supportive of each other. Through everything that we've gone through... I really feel in my heart that the reason I am being successful is because of the support I receive on here with you guys... :thumbup: Yesterday I was doing laundry and I saw that my closet was once again filling up with stuff I don't fit anymore. I'm starting to purge once again... I have size 18-20 tops. Does anyone wear size 18-20 tops? I'll try to post some pics tonight....

Okay, since towels don't really travel well I think I will just bring each of ya'll a beach towel. That way they wont take up room in your luggage. K? I'm getting really excited! Juan was just asking me yesterday when our trip was. I think he's excited for me to see ya'll since I talk about ya'll so much... TracyKS - jeans are fine for everywhere. Everthing is super casual. But just FYI, it might be hot and humid. I live in shorts once May hits.

Tracyks - Let me know how those things work. I watched them on the QVC channel for hours a few weeks ago. I almost bought them. My yard is kinda shaped weird. My house sits funny on my lot so I have huge spaces on each side of my house. I want to plant a big vegetable garden on one of the sides. Eventually... probably not this summer. I want to finish my front yard first... Terry - did you end up going to the crawfish fest? I'm only a few miles from there. Live right across 45. You should have called me!! I would have met you up there. We bummed around the house all day after church today and then went to my sisters birthday party at my mom's house in the evening. We try to go every year and it's always lots of fun. Are you going to Ifest this year? We try not to miss that one either. So you made your son detail your car? That's what kids are for!! Can't wait to have my own, he he he!! Save the coupon I sent you for another time. I think it has a six month expiration on it... Judy, I never knew that preachers get summer vacations too! That's so cool! Who gives the sermon on Sundays when your husband is on vacation? Ok girls. I'm wiped out. I don't really know from what since I wasn't as productive as Tracyks today.
