  1. Yeah that's what I'm thinking. I don't wanna end up with a doctor I don't like just for convenience sake..thanks
  2. Hi! So I'm getting my surgery done in NJ but I will be going back to school in VA about 10 days after I get banded. Do you think it'd be a good idea to try and find somewhere closer to my school to do my fills or should I just deal with the distance and make the trips back and forth to NJ to get my adjustments? I think it'd be a lot easier if I found someone closer but I really like my doctor and nurse that are here in NJ. Has anybody else had experience with this? And if anyone knows of a good doctor in the Richmond, VA area that would be willing to do the adjustments despite the fact I did not get surgery there then please let me know!! Thanks!! -Erin
  3. Oh I was going to have mine on the 6th but they moved my date yeah, I just gotta think about how awesome the results are (hopefully) going to be. Good luck with your surgery! I'm glad you're in a better place now and like you said, from here things can only get better!
  4. @irhodes46 Oh cool! Well it was kind of up in the air about what day I was going to get surgery so I didn't start a pre-op diet yet...but I start tomorrow! how are you doing? I've tried a diet exactly the same, just a different brand, as the pre-op one just on my own and it wasn't terrible..I just couldn't do it long term. I hope your surgery goes well!!
  5. Thank you! Glad everything's gone well for you!!
  6. Hi! I've really been loving this app lol! I go in for surgery on August 13th! Anybody else getting surgery that day? Anybody else kinda freaking out? I hope I'm not the only one. I cried last night out of fear of failure. But it's made me feel a lot better seeing all the posts on here! Anybody that has any immediate post op tips would be greatly appreciated! I'm a little nervous about the recovery and what to expect...
  7. I go in for surgery on the 13th and I'm terrified. I thought I was afraid of pain from recovery, but I realized I'm more afraid of failure. I'm more afraid of this not working and seemingly being a last resort. I'm afraid of gaining back everything I lose . Meh...we'll see. Good luck and best wishes!
  8. Thank you for the encouraging words! I'm beginning to feel better about the whole thing. I am so grateful I have the opportunity to change my life at a young age
  9. Hi! I just turned 20 in June and am scheduled to get my band on August 13th! I'm excited but really nervous. Initially I was only nervous about the pain of recovery, which I realize isn't extremely bad, but now I'm more nervous about regretting getting my band. I've seen a lot of success stories but have also seen some not so successful stories. I'm worried about long term complications (heartburn/acid reflux, erosion) and if it'll all be worth it. Ahh, I don't know, I think I'm just psyching myself out. Any advice or tips would be so appreciated! -Erin
