  1. Oh man that's no fun! Luckily I haven't had any nausea. Haha I agree..this is probably worse then getting hit by a truck. Same here! Hope the nausea goes away for you!
  2. Use your heating pad it will help you lots even if you have no shoulder pain. Warms up all muscles. Day 3 and 4 were the best with NO problems. Day 2 though' date=' I drove my car to store and back. I also attended a weight reduction support meeting at my home town. The people we amazed I was there attending from recent lapband. All of us are different to the procedure. But if you need to rest, please rest. Make sure you SIP your Water. And take it often. Weight loss will come later. Keep the faith.[/quote'] I tried the heating pad on my stomach but I think the weight of it made me nauseous...but it made the soreness go away a bit. I've been sipping water a lot and trying to walk around...thank you for the tips and encouragement! Glad you're recovering well!
  3. So today is my second day with the band but I'm feeling kind of cruddy...when I take the pain medicine it makes me so sleepy that I have to lay down but when I wake up I feel like I've been hit by a truck. I guess laying still for so long makes the soreness worse plus then the medicine is wearing off...I'm curious how other people have felt by day 3 post op? I'm hoping tomorrow I won't feel as 'tender'...
  4. Hi everyone! I was just curious how soon you all were able to take a shower after surgery? And how you kept your incisions protected. Thanks!
  5. Good Luck to all the up coming banders! I'm only 1 day post op, but I'm very very happy with my decision to do this and am having a pretty easy recovery! Hoping everyone else has a quick and easy recovery as well!
  6. Hey! I can finally make posts on the POST-op side now feels good to have the surgery over with!
  7. Hello! So I got home from the hospital yesterday (luckily, they discharged me and I didn't have to stay overnight--score!) but I woke up this morning much more sore than yesterday. It almost feels like I've done sit ups for like 8 years straight...I was wondering if anybody had any tips for releiving the soreness? I've taken my pain killer and haven't really given it a chance to kick in yet but if there's anything extra I can do, please let me know! Thank you!
  8. Thank you! I hope it does too
  9. Hi!! So I've been here in the hospital since 7am and I'm not feeling too bad my one big incision where the port is is a little tender. And standing up to walk makes my tummy feel like it's being pulled to the ground, which is not necessarily painful but it's a bit uncomfortable. Other than that I've had no complications! No nausea, in fact, I actually feel hungry but water soothes the hunger pain. that's it! While I was writing this they actually discharged me! So I'm headed home! I'm on the other side now
  10. Oh cool! Good luck! My surgery starts at 9am...how about you?
  11. its gonna go great when you wake up. you will be a miss bandie lady Haha yes I will! thanks!
