  1. Thanks for your comments. I knew the sleeve staples stay forever. I have two to three staples on four incisions. Sounds like they come out this week. Yea!!!
  2. I'm going on Wednesday to have my drain removed. Does anyone know if they take the staples out then. I don't know why I didn't ask my Doctor this.
  3. I own a salon, my advice would be to first find a hairdresser in your area that you like their work. Ask their professional appenion. Each person needs a cut based on what your hair thickness texture and Aldo if you can stlye it at home. I think most will tell you to go shorter but you can do this a little at a time if your scared. When it's gone it's gone but they can always cut Moore off. I would totally go for heavy highlights. Highlights will give you more body and texture. From your pictures I would go with a Maranda cut and Samantha color from sex in the city! Have fun with a new look!!!
  4. I may feel different than most, but I told everyone. I lived with shame of gaining weight and being over weight for so long. I will not feel bad for making an educated decision that I explored for three years to help myself have a better life. Sure, I had a few friends who didn't understand until I explained the everyday things that I go through. They didn't know I have to wear spanks everyday:( cant go shopping with them because I need a speciatly store. Can't pick something up off the floor, have to ask for seatbelt extenders, that I can't sit in statium seating. I also told them that I would get fast food before dinner with them so they would not know how much I really eat. My friends became very supportive and my biggest cheerleaders after they knew the whole story, they want what's best for me, they just didn't really understand how much I was hiding for years. I don't know if you have done that are if your ready but I made the decision to have my surgery and come out with all of my weight issues and I feel like a huge weight of another kind was lifted. Best of luck, everyone needs a cheerleader!
  5. Surgery was on Monday. First two days were really tuff. I thought I might die day one. They gave me plenty of pain medicine it just was hard on me. I also had a hernia the size of a lime that they removed. Dr. Norwood was great. I'm going home this afternoon. Feeling much better.
  6. Ten hours to go. Funny how nervous I've been. Now that it's time I feel so excited. I start a new life tomorrow. Bring it on!!!!
  7. I know they are supportive, they just think the changes are about me not them. We are working on it. I'm going to write out the recipes for a few of there favorite meals and hopefully they will cook them. I love to cook and hope I wil still want to after the surgery. I'm only asking them to take care of them self for a month. Thanks for the advice.
  8. My husband and daughter keep telling me how supportive they are. My doctor has me on 4 to 5 prtein shakes a day, I'm starting the second and final week of this. My family has ask me what's for dinner everynight even though they know I can't eat. Is anyone else dealing with this?
  9. My Dr has me on a 12 day protein shack diet, called Bariatric Advantage. Its has been hard with no real food. I broke down tonight and had two eggs.
  10. My Dr. Has me on a protein shake diet for twelve days before surgery. The first day was tough. I went to bed early so I wouldnt late night eat:( I have to say the second day has been easier. I did go to walmart and walk the iles to kill time. I stayed away from the food side. Amazing how much time I have spent on food in the past. I'm thinking of things to do now?
  11. My surgery date is also the 27. I'm nervous but very excited. I've wanted to do this for three years and for various reasons I'm just now taking care of me:) my Dr. Says one to two nights in hospital. I wish you the best of luck!
  12. I'm so happy today. The Credit Union came through for me. Surgery date Aug 27! So excited and a little nervous.
