I just had my one on one with the surgeon today. He said I would be in the hospital for 2 nights, and I need to lose 5 lbs. I think he only said it because I asked about a liquid diet (stupid me). I'm getting nervous too and excited. It gets a little more overwhelming each day the closer it gets.

Would you be able to finance the surgery if it came down to it? That could be an option. All the pre work has been paid for so surgery would be all you would need to finance. I know that is huge especially with your husband out of work , it's just a thought.

Can your insurance provider help? Maybe they can set you up with a hospital liaison that you can meet with before the surgery and will be able to stay with you most of the time in the hospital like they do for special needs people getting jobs. If you already have anxiety over this, it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Just got my surgery date of October 3rd! My first weigh in at the doctors office was 227, I am now 214. I am 5'2" and my goal weight is 110 so 104 lbs to go! I'm so greatful to be given this oportunity for a second chance at life.
