  1. My hubby lost 75 pounds and has only a little skin hanging. That said he works out and uses weight regularly My neighbor said she was able to stay firm until she stopped exercising. Then the extra skin started coming.
  2. When my husband had surgery he couldn't sleep for 3 weeks prior. The doc said that's normal. We are all just nervous.
  3. Thanks everyone for your feedback. I was really ok until the surgery date was set. Now it seems so real.
  4. Well I've been fat for 19 years do I've never kept it off long term. I feel like something's wrong with me for not being able to do it the traditional way. My hubby had surgery in Dec and he has no regrets. He looks and feels fantastic. He was diabetic and now is free of all his meds. It felt like he had a legit reason for the sleeve, but it feels like I'm having to do it because I'm lazy. My surgery is 3 weeks away and I'm getting cold feet.
  5. I'm scheduled for Aug 10. I'm 5'4 also with 100 pounds to lose. Getting the jitters about moving forward.
  6. My husband had a successful surgery back in Dec. in the nutrition class they said if you can't handle all liquids try replacing 2 meals and having a TV for the third meal. This seemed to work well. I'm replacing two meals and eating a reasonable meal for the dinner. So far so good, but it's hard not to snack like I did before.
  7. So I'm on my third day of the preop diet. It's not easy but I'm sticking with it, excercising and losing weight. My question is, if I can stick to a preop diet shouldn't I be able to stick with a diet without surgery? I'm really nervous about whether I'm jumping the gun. Help!
