  1. I was eating soups, yogurt, and oatmeal 10 days post op. You can still drink occasional protein shake, just to get your protein in, which helps with the healing process.
  2. So I am 12 days post-op. I lost a few pounds right after the surgery while on liquid diet. Then I was stuck when transitioned to slider foods like yogurt, soup, and oatmeal. Now I am on soft foods and started to GAIN weight . I feel like I can eat as much as I did before the band and I really have to practice my will power, which is not that great or I wouldn't have gotten banded! The tightness I felt around my stomach is gone, so I feel more comfortable than post-op, but I'm scared and disappointed . Any thoughts/experiences??
  3. Good job on drinking your water! I ate Greek yogurt too. I love the texture - its so smooth! It was so great to change things up and actually eat real food...even though it just slides down your throat...lol. I was so sick and tired of those shakes! I am starting my soft food phase today - really happy about that. But I can eat more and more every day and THAT scares me! I'll have to wait till 22August, my next appt, to get a fill. But I think I really need it. They tools me they only put about 3ml of Water into my 8ml band at first because of the stomach swelling during the surgery. But as I heal and swelling goes down - I definately don't get full as fast. I guess I'll just have to keep my appetite under control with my awesome will power (yeah, right...lol) till my appt. Keep up the good work! P.S. Must be nice to have summers off! Are you a teacher??
  4. I ate sugar-free Jello and drank crystal light. They were yummy!
  5. To Sarah 72: I'll be your buddy! I was banded 18 July and also had a hiatal hernia repaired. Hang in there! It will truly get better and better every day! I had my first post-op appointment today and I feel great! My surgeon said I don't look like someone who just underwent a major abdominal surgery! Lol!
  6. By the way, Cooper, how did the surgery go for you? You got banded on 23rd, right??
  7. San Antonio here also! Just got banded July 18 and doing good so far. I lost a few pounds the first few days after surgery, but have been stuck ever since I started the "slider" phase with soups, oatmeal, and yogurt Curious if anyone else recently banded encountered this?? Thanks!
  8. Me too! Got banded July 18 and feel great! Very excited to meet new friends on here and share our weight loss success!
