soontobeskinnymini got a reaction from justmeandmysleeve in Having A Hard Time...and A Tad Regretomg crackers and cheese sound amazing! Lol it's TOM and I want everything. Usually this is where we have chinese food twice in one week but as good as general tso chicken sounds right now I'm pretty sure it's not on my liquid/mushy diet! Lol you are right nobody said it was going to be easy, only thing that keeps me going is the 17lbs I already lost

soontobeskinnymini got a reaction from 1Precious in Having A Hard Time...and A Tad RegretHappy I can relate to somebody lol. I don't enjoy food at all right now and I just hope it gets better. Like you said I want a meal, a small meal but eating something without feeling lousy after would be nice. I am tired too, literally ALL THE TIME! I had to take a nap every day since surgery which was 2 weeks ago today. My husband went back to work Monday and I'm struggling with fatigue and taking care of our two toddlers. I just don't have any energy to run after them and keep the house up so currently my house is a mess.
I hope it gets better for us!! The doc at my post op app told me I had to stay on full liquids and some mushies like eggs for another 4 weeks but I just can't wait to eat something normal I feel like an outcast when the rest of the family has to cook something different for me when everybody else has a steak lol.

soontobeskinnymini got a reaction from Spirit Fire in Called Dr For Simple Question And Now They Are Sending Me To The Er! Help!Just got home, I got admitted over***ht. Turns out the esophageal monitor they had in me for my acid reflex they never took out after surgery. It was about the size of a pen cap so when it went through my hernia repair then my sleeve it caused some pain and discomfort. Was pretty dehydrated too which I have no idea how to prevent at this point since I'm constantly sipping on water or Popsicles. Doing okay now tho thanks for all the well wishes

soontobeskinnymini got a reaction from Mrs.Val in Good Bye 200S!SO excited to step on the scale today and was 197!! I am officially out of the 200s and I hope to never see them again. This sleeve is the best decision I have ever made for myself. I haven't lost a ton yet, it's still early but I'm already confident in myself and learning to love myself again with every pound that comes off. Thought I'd share since this is a huge milestone for me

soontobeskinnymini got a reaction from Jamaela Jennings in Anyone Care To Share A Pre Op Liquid DietMy Dr has my preop diet pretty strict. All I can have is 3 protein shakes a day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sugar free jello and chicken broth for snacks 2 servings of each a day no fruit or veggis which I am craving soooo bad. It SUCKS but by day 3 (at least for me) it got much easier and the cravings went away.

soontobeskinnymini got a reaction from Justine13 in Surgery Is Tomorrow Morning! :) :) :) :)They did not need to take out the monitor said it should slide through so I will deal with that when the time comes. Home already thank GOD since everytime I tried to sleep last night somebody came in the room to do this and that so happy to be in my own bed. Pain isn't too bad at all feels like I did 3000 sit ups and my muscles ache that's about it. So far I haven't felt pain in my stomach from the staples like I read other people had so I am very thankful about that. I don't have a drain so I can use one of those belly binders to kindof hold everything in and it's working wonders I can get around much easier with it on.

soontobeskinnymini got a reaction from Slenderella in Surgery Is Tomorrow Morning! :) :) :) :)Thanks everybody for the prayers and good luck wishes! Surgery was 10:00 yesterday. Got out of surgery a little sore and a lot of gas but nothing too bad. Today is a little worse but not anything majorly hurting just sore. Feels like I did 3,000 sit ups and my muscles ache. I am thanking god for this website and the things I read up on what to bring. Gas X strips have helped a lot, my little tiny pillow is a life savor, I wouldn't have gotten any sleep last night if it weren't for putting it against my belly when I laid on my side or using it to get out of bed. I brought a heating pad for my back also and it helped tremendously with gas and back pain. I would feel much better once they let me have a sip of soup or something. My leak test is in an hour but I didn't eat since 7:00 Tuesday night so I'm starving and weak.

Best of luck tomorrow! I'll be having my surgery the same day! I've received he following suggestions: gas-x strips, sugar-free mints, chapstick, loose clothing and a pillow for the ride home. Hope you have a speedy recovery! Look forward to hearing how things progress.

I had surgery last week and someone recommended biotene a mouth wash/spray that helps with dry mouth. That was a lifesaver since you can't drink for a while after surgery and my mouth was like the desert.
I also brought a heating pad and gasx chewables. The chewables were awful and I threw them up, I really think the best medicine to get the gas out is walking, walking, walking.
Good Luck! We'll be pulling for you!

I really should be jotting all these suggestions down but alas, I'll end up asking when it's time for me to go in.
I want to say to you- YEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY It's your day! I LOVE seeing these posts. I can't wait to read updates. Prayers for you tonight

soontobeskinnymini got a reaction from kmwheel in Should I Tell The Inlaws About My Surgery? Thanks everybody for your good points! I am so not going to tell them. The more I analyze this the more I realize if I tell them I would have to be prepared for all the friends and family, cousins, 4th cousins and dog groomer to know since they are horrible at keeping things to themselves. I watched my mom get pretty beat up by rude comments that some of her "friends" made when she told some of them she got sleeved. She kept the secret for 4 years now I think I'm just going to do the same with some people to avoid unnecessary drama.
