I did not tell my supervisor until a week ago and by that time I had already completed my FMLA paperwork.

I never kept mine a secret due to being so excited about finally getting some real help. My surgery is 8/15/12 and 8days before my 37th birthday. Talk about a good gift to me!

Been there done that, Go with your heart and just do it. It is not easy, I felt the same way going through the process. I lost weight before just to gain it all back, plus more. I have my surgery 8/15/2012 @ 11am
