  1. My surgery day bmi was 69. Almost 3 weeks post op now. Love how I am feeling.
  2. I am about to start my Mushie Phase of my post op recovery weeks. (and I can't wait!!!) What are some ideas of foods that fall into this category?
  3. I had my surgery on a Tuesday morning, and was back to work for a half day on Thursday, and a full day Friday.
  4. Ugh! I keep getting them, a million times a day! Anyone else experience this? I'm a week post op, and the last few days they just keep coming!

  6. I was banded on the 11th. We can do it! I'll "enjoy" a protein shake with ya!

  8. I usually do 10-12 ounces when I get that must eat feeling.
  9. You can do it! Drink a protein shake to curb the hunger!
  10. I weighed 600 before surgery with a bmi of 70. So it all depends on your surgeons preferance....don't think bmi plays into their decision at all....my doc said some do because some think it shrinks the liver....mine said through all 3500+ he's done he didn't notice much difference with or without the pre op diet.

  12. Just got off the phone with my doc. Wanted to be sure I had his blessing to take anything. He told me to take a bottle of magnesium citrate, followed by 8 oz. Of water......still waiting. Pleaaaase!
  13. Any one else have issues with having a bm After surgery? Had surgery on 9/11 feel like I'm blocked up. It's getting painful. Normal?
  14. I'm from Gilroy. Just banded on 9/11. Hope to chat with a few other local bandsters.
  15. My doctor didn't put me on a pre op diet at all. Just nothing to eat past noon on the day before surgery. I was lucky I guess!
  16. I guess I was one of the lucky ones. My doctor didn't make me do any extended pre op diet. He said his studies have shown that the liver isn't that much larger then if you do a liquid diet for a eel or two. Thank you dr!
  17. Got home about 5 hours ago. Everything went very well....no issues. Only real pain is in my shoulders....but that will go away in a few days. Thansk everyone for the support.

  19. I go in for my surgery Sept. 11 at 530am. So excited to start my new life!
  20. So frustrated! Was supposed to meet with my potential surgeon today...but the accidentally overbooked my appt time. I now to next Friday. Minor setback...but was spool excited to meet the man that is helping me change my life. I'll keep those interested in the loop!
  21. I feel ya there lindsay. I fly east a couple times a year to visit family. Can't wait to no longer have to whisper to the flight attendant..."can I get an extension please". Haha!
  22. I love reading the assortment of "extras" on top of just getting healthy. Keep em' coming!

  24. I'm a huge baseball fan.....I also can't wait to spoil myself with seats begin.d home plate. Never sat there as I've always been too big to sit in them. And flying....in one seat! Lol.
  25. What are all my fellow pre banders most excited to do when they shed their extra lbs? Me? Roller Coasters.....the beach.....and bikes! I haven't done any of these in ages! What about you? [ATTACH]24496[/ATTACH]
